Scifi Friday: SG-1, Atlantis, and BSG (SPOILERS!)

Feb 25, 2006 15:14

Well, all decent episodes last night, I thought!

Spoilers under the cut....

Stargate SG-1: I really liked this one. Good to see Tony Todd again, which is always a treat. I like the character he plays on SG-1. I also liked the whole Merlin tie-back to the device. Got a kick out of Michael Shanks' cute shrug after Sam said to Daniel "Well, on the bright side, now that you're here the translation will go alot faster!" That made me chuckle.

And I loved when Teal'c took a swipe at Mitchell (but 'missed' because of the phase difference), and Mitchell asked him if he even *thought for a second* before he did that, and Teal'c, walking away, said something like "No. I did not." *lol* Excellent!

Loved to see Mitchell so focused on his next meal too - that is so....'guy' of him! *lol*

Good to see that this show has not lost it's humor since RDA left!

Stargate: Atlantis: Well, what else do I need to say besides Conner Trinneer as a wraith! Excellent! *lol*

Actually, I think he did a pretty good job. Hopefully we will see him again on Atlantis. And it seems like there might be a good possibility of that, because "Michael" now knows that Atlantis was not destroyed.

Interesting plotline though. I'm a bit disappointed in Weir that she didn't really have a plan for the contingency that Michael might do *exactly* what he did. Weir is usually more circumspect than that, and definitely should have had a plan thought out in advance for all possible outcomes - or at least this particular outcome! Because now they are in some *serious* shit. Serious. Shit.

Battlestar Galactica: Well, most of you are gonna be surprised at what I'm about to say, given the fact that everyone who has ever read a single one of my posts on BSG knows that there is no love lost between me and the whole Baltar/Six storyline.

However, I thought this episode was pretty doggone good. FINALLY took that relationship past the superficial sexual stuff that seems to permeate their whole interaction on Galactica, and gives it some dimension. YAY for them!!! It was good to see the 'flip side' of that relationship (invisible Baltar and 'real' Six) on Caprica - and see how different it was.

And it was interesting to see Sharon on Caprica too.

I have a BAD feeling about the hybrid baby though. A VERY bad feeling. You just know that's gonna turn out badly.

What happened with the election though? Nothing on the big Roslin/Baltar parting of the ways....

And no Apollo. Booo!!!!! Gotta get my eye-candy fix. :D
