Stargate SG-1 and BSG (spoilers!)

Still behind on Atlantis, so I'll skip that for now. But watched Stargate SG-1 last night and BSG this morning.

Spoilers behind the cut

Stargate SG-1 was pretty decent. Not as good as last week, but a good Baal-centered story, nonetheless. Of course, in the end, his ship is blown to smithereens, but knowing SG-1, I have to wonder if we've STILL not seen the end of Baal. He probably got out of there somehow, just in time.

Interesting concept, though - stealing the gates with the idea of making your own network. He *really* wants to be god of *somewhere*, doesn't he? *lol*

Good shoot-'em-up scene on Baal's ship while Sam and Daniel were tagging the gates. Teal'c was kickin' some ass there! *lol*

Overall, an entertaining episode...and sorta a good break in the whole continuous-run-ins-with-the-priors storyline.

BSG was actually very good, I thought. Still *can't stand* Tigh's wife - that part will never change, I don't think. But they did some pretty daring stuff here. Starbuck accidentally shooting Apollo - wow! That was a surprise! And Billy's death - another big surprise.

I really liked the interplay between Adama and Tigh on Galactica during the hostage situation. The fact that they both had family members in there made it really interesting to see how they would handle things...and how they would work together under such stress. And it got even better when they added in Roslin as well.

I can't even imagine how difficult it was for Starbuck to radio Galactica and tell Adama that she'd probably shot Apollo. Can you imagine having to make that radio call? Wow! And Katee did a really good job with it, too. The more I see her act, the more impressed I am. She is really very good.

And the ending was good too...with Starbuck standing in the shadows at Apollo's bedside. Good way to end it.

And of course, any episode without Baltar/Six foolishness is good in my book! :D

Strong episode, IMO!
