Kenneth Lay, the scum-bag lying SOB who ran Enron into the ground and defrauded thousands of employees and investors out of hundreds of millions of dollars has died.
I was SOOOOOO looking forward to watching that sleeze-bag get hauled off to prison in October, after his recent conviction on fraud charges.
Damn. Now we won't get the satisfaction.
I only hope that this won't mess up the civil suits that were to go after Lay's financial holdings on behalf of the investors, former employees and creditors.
We in the accouting industry, and especially those of us, like myself, who are Arthur Andersen alumni, were really looking forward to watching this dick-with-ears go to the pokey. True, it would have been a country-club pokey - much nicer than the prison a guy convicted of stealing a TV set would go to. *rolleyes*
But still...I was really looking forward to seeing the lying SOB in orange.
Now I'll just have to settle for Jeffrey Skilling.
