Summer...what?
--BEGINNING RANT--
Our time off is slowly diminishing as the school aims to move in on out precious little free time. Like many schools, Bloomington High School South has decided to assign summer reading to students in "Honors"-level classes. Yes, that's right, the students that have the audacity to take LOWER-LEVEL CLASSES, aka the ones who usually need it (not all do), don't have to do jack shit.
Don't get me wrong, I am highly supportive of students--especially teenagers--reading. I, myself, have read and wrote more than my fair share this summer. It just wasn't THEIR stuff. Amazing, though, that I put the computer books aside throughout the WHOLE year to do the READING THAT THEY ASSIGNED.
And so, they have assigned us these three books (and no, I will not post the link to the PDF) that they said we could find at the MCPL. Guess what? several copies of each exist and ALL are OUT! WTF?
