A Mirage Reappears! (plus a wacky bootleg)
Long time, no see! Glad to see this community is still around ^_^ Recently, I went down a rabbithole of trying to get my own mirage plush, specifically one with a non-canon color scheme! Sadly, all the Taiwanese ones required a proxy service, so I looked elsewhere and...
Ta-da! Introducing British mirage Lapras! There's mention of the plush in this old post, but the picture is missing. So, it seems I'm returning this mirage to the internet! Enjoy the many angles of Golden-Horned Lapras.
As the original post says, this plush was made by Grove International, a British company that has since gone out of business. The seller definitely had no idea how rare/valuable this is. I can't find any mentions/pictures of other Pokemon plush that they made.
If you have any Pokemon plushes made by them, please share them!!! They're probably also mirage plushes!
Btw, if anyone was curious how I found the Taiwanese mirages online, you just need to search keywords on Taiwanese shopping sites. You'd need a proxy/friend in Taiwan though. Some helpful keywords are 神奇寶貝/寶可夢 (pokemon), 復古/玩偶 (doll), 早期 (early), 稀有 (rare), and 復古 (retro).

This guy isn't rare by any means, but I didn't see any bootleg posts mentioning him! And frankly, I think he deserves to be a star.
And hey, while I'm here, why not throw in a collection update? My plushies are too numerous and scattered to get in one photo, but I snapped one of all my Pokemon figures/toys.
It seems I never showed off my shiny Flygon kid when I got him, but I did get that grail around when ORAS released! Here he is, front and center. Other highlights include my Milk Drink Miltank, light-up Pumpkaboo, and a literal plane.
