My Alolan Vulpix Collection - Quitting Sale
Hello, everyone! I deeply apologize for the long-term inactivity on my collection site. Between late November-early December of 2021, I was in the process of moving home. Of course, I safely brought my entire collection with me as well as obtained several new additions post-move that have not yet been included on my site. The lack of site updates is due to me being very busy since moving to my new location-with a new home came new activities and responsibilities that I've been dealing with all this time. Apart from being busy, over the past couple of years I have also slowly lost interest in maintaining most of my current collections. If you are wondering, yes that includes Alolan Vulpix, my most massive Pokemon collection to date. I love Alolan Vulpix as well as the animal it is based on (Arctic fox), it is one of my top favorite Pokemon, but lately I've been feeling disconnected from it despite my persona revolving around foxes. Yet, I still feel strongly connected to Sylveon, Fairy-type Pokemon, the Kalos region and Gen VI as a whole. That era in the Pokemon timeline is just as nostalgic to me as the Gen I Pokemon games simply because it's what brought me back to Pokemon as a hobby. With the recent announcement of Pokemon Legends: Z-A (a game set entirely in Lumiose City; to be released in 2025), I feel now is an appropriate time to potentially part ways with most of my items and start anew. I expect there to be plenty of new Kalos-related merch including Sylveon and Fairy-types, so I would like to be prepared for this-hopefully with a more minimalist approach in collecting so that I don't experience burnout.
In the upcoming days/weeks (basically whenever I can spare the time), I will create a more detailed post of what exactly I am selling from my personal collection, how I will sell them, and prices. Expect a LOT of Alolan Vulpix items. I will tell you now that I highly prefer to sell these as whole as possible to their collection category (for example: plush, plush mascots, other goods), but I understand that can be very difficult to accomplish. So I am willing to make adjustments or split up items within the same category either to my liking or depending on the situation of potential buyers. What I really won't be fond of is selling my personal collection items individually, as I feel like it will be more difficult for me to let go of something that once made my collection "whole." Not sure if that makes sense, but hopefully you guys can respect my feelings and dedication to my collection!
This post serves as a pre-announcement to gauge interest from potential buyers within the PKMNCollectors community, but feel free to share this pre-announcement with friends from other communities if you'd like! Just be aware that I am only selling my personal collection items via PKMNCollectors LiveJournal and Pokemon Collectors Discord server. I will not create an account to sell in any other community, so if you have friends from other communities who are interested in purchasing from me please direct them to LJ and/or Discord to contact me (preferably LJ, since my Discord is primarily for gaming so any DMs of other nature may get buried/slower response). My eBay and Mercari accounts will only be used as a last resort for selling any few remaining items I have left after I attempt to sell via LJ and Discord.
