Pokemon Go: Back to Back Shinies!
Hey everyone! I just took an hour long walk and decided to play some Pokemon Go. My experience was so crazy I just had to share!
There is an achievement I have been working towards in-game, which is to catch 108 pokemon (which is an homage to the 108 souls that make up a Spiritomb). I completed that achievement, which triggers an encounter with a Spiritomb. I started the encounter, and to my complete shock, the Spiritomb was SHINY! Now, I am not sure if this encounter is shiny by default (I do not believe it to be), but I was losing my mind, as that is a pretty difficult pokemon to shiny hunt in the main series games!
I was so thrilled that made sure to send screenshots to my Pokmemon Go playing friends before continuing my walk. The next pokemon I decided to encounter on my radar was a Sneasel. I am a huge fan of Sneasel, as well as its shiny form, and as if the shiny Spiritomb was not enough, this very next Sneasel encounter was shiny as well! At this point I was floored, but I put that feeling aside and caught the shiny Sneasel.
I do not believe that I will be able to top this Pokemon Go session in the future, and I am okay with that lol.
A side note-- I have been shiny hunting a Heracross in Pokemon Fire Red over the past couple of weeks with no luck, so while I am so thankful for these shiny encounters, but I hope this did not drain all of my shiny luck!
