Spring SSS!!!
(I haven't posted in so long I am not at all familiar with the way the new LJ post system works LOL - hopefully I do all of this correctly)
So, today a special gift arrived - and the most hilarious thing is, I didn't even have to open it to know who it was from. I've purchased so many commissions from this particular member that I know their name by heart xD
So it's with a warm, and very big, thank you to the wonderful vulpes_canis for being my SSS this time around!!
So, upon opening my wonderful box, I was greeted wiiith...
Candy! So much candy!! And like, the cutest hand drawn card in existence with a sweet little note inside!
Can you tell I like cats?
Look at that trio of three-step evolution cats cuddling together! If Shinx were a water type, they'd be their own starter pack lol
Seriously though, Vulpes, thank you for going the extra mile and drawing the card on top of... well, I won't ruin it yet ;)
Now matching our number of cats, we also had a little trio of colorfully wrapped gifts in there as well! We've got pink, green and navy.
Starting with the green-wrapped gift we have...
A big tough boy! This is the Luxray shodo figure. It came out awhile ago and I'd be eyeing it ever since but I never found the spare cash for it, so I put it on my shopping list when SSS came around and low and behold, here he is! He's posable!!
I haven't taken him out of the box quite yet. Collection room is under some serious renovations, so I figure it's wise to keep him in an easily findable box for now lol
To join him is what is behind the pink wrapping, which is........
Another big tough boy! This puppy is the San-ei All Star plush - yet another one I put on the list because I lack a lot of the San-ei plush just in general lol. This guy is super fluffy and I love how they did his tail and his face! But my favorite part is definitely just his color - a lot of Arcanine plush have a very deep, bold orange, but this guy is a much softer shade which I really find quite lovely. It makes him stand out a lot among my other little Arcanines.
If you're an Arcanine fan and are on the fence for a plush, I def recommend this cutie!
And now we've arrived to the crème-de-la-crème. Behind the navy colored wrapping iiiissss.........
A beautiful Shinx handmade by Vulpes herself! (You know this means I have to get the rest of the line now, right? Riiight? xDDD)
For srs tho, I've commissioned Vulpes ever since her early days of taking them years ago - and if she had slots open and I had the money, I was always quick to jump on board (In fact, I am getting one right now so... LOL)
Her craftmanship is stellar and her style is unique and she can put so much detail into these tiny little guys, it's just incredible! I especially adore this little one's tail from the little butt fluff all the way to the little star! He's going right in with the rest of the family~
Actually, in fact... About a year and a half ago, I did a quick plush catalogue for myself on my phone - separating them all by type and whether they were official or customs. I didn't share any of them here because they were just messy, quick pictures so I could remember what I have but... one picture of customs plush took up an entire shot. And I think it's appropriate to share it today ;)
Shinx has a VERY big family. He's gonna fit right on in xD
(There's a few missing as well - Dragapult and Galarian Zapdos I know were made after this picture. lol)
