My goal is to take a bunch of photos for updating my website this weekend, and to finish putting together a collection update post. For those of you with larger items, how do you like to photograph them? I haven't decided how to take photos of Entei and Raikou yet. It's hard to do a backdrop and such with them because they're so large. Currently my idea is to just bring them down with the rest of my collection and take some photos of them in front of it.
For the rest of the items, I'm thinking of just setting up a cube with some white paper/board for some clean photos. I'm a bit torn because I do like colorful backgrounds and such, but I do want to be sure the item stands out and is done some justice! What are your photo taking setups/preferences like?
For bigger items, I'd use a roll of craft paper, or if you don't have that, use a large and well ironed solid color blanket behind and under the item itself to obtain something like this:
I'll probably have to rig one together myself; I should have enough materials laying around to make something similar!
Unfortunately I'm living in a very very small place and don't have enough room to do a setup like that for larger stuff, but I'll see if there's a way to at least get a backdrop up after shuffling things around. My only clear spot of wall is being taken up by bins of stuff for a garage sale, and it looks like I should be able to squeeze Entei in there when the bins are gone. Otherwise I'm pretty much out of luck, though it's not the worst if they end up just being photographed where they are at (solid color rug, pine board sloped ceiling).
I photograph most of my items simply where I have them displayed :D If I tried to photograph every item individually, it would take pretty much forever XD
I've been watching some of these! Just watched the 'Somerton Man' revisited: don't know if you've seen it but there's a bit with a face cast I found chilling.
I'm still playing Bravely Default 2 and I want those Sanrio cards for Animal Crossing. I wish Badtz Maru and Tuxedo Sam were a part of it too, but the items they have now are still an unexpected and very cute surprise.

I am watching buzzfeed unsolved episodes and I love the hijinks of the hosts, Shane and Ryan
Any Boogaras or Shaniacs out there?
