I'm currently collecting the McDonald's cards for two reasons: I love McDonald's, and I love Pokemon! I've gotten a couple Happy Meals during my lunch breaks for them, but I'm not like aDrive (a Poketuber) going out and literally buying 100 Happy Meals for content. Still, I don't think there's anything wrong with people getting a few to enjoy the food and the cute cards.

There's been a lot of activity and trading around the McDonald's cards on Discord, so I'd say there'd be interest in them here too! I'm kind of a homebody so I've not been out to McDonald's since the promotion started, but I'd like to at least get the Mudkip in regular and foil.

The cards, stickers, frames, and boxes that the cards come with are all so cute! Having a promotion focused fully on starters was a great idea. I'm lucky that my McDonald's is limiting how many each person can get, so I've been able to get a few packs to enjoy so far! I want to try to get at least one card of each of my favorite starters, but I don't have any plans to try to complete the set.
I am super sad that people are being allowed to buy out an entire store's stock of packs to resell. It really ruins the fun spirit of the promotion. I think it's reasonable to want more than one pack to see if you can get cards to complete your collection, but it's definitely not okay to get 100+ in one sitting. I hate imagining how much food might be wasted with this card craze too if some stores are only allowing people to get the packs with meals.

That's actually something I'm wondering about. Is buying it with the food required? They did a MLP thing once and I was able to get something just on its own.

Ive been to 9 different Mcds
7 required meal purchase,1 sold the toys for the same price as the meal, and 1 required purchase of 1 happy meal and let you buy 5 toys by themselves.

Like Dezchu mentioned, I've found that it varies by McDonald's! At mine, you can buy one toy for $1.80, but if you want more toys, you have to buy the full Happy Meal.

I normally don't collect cards, but I have always collected the McDonald's Happy Meal Pokemon promotions. I managed to get some packs before the limits were put into place at the McDonald's I went to. But with trading I have managed to get the full set of cards. :) I admit I do kind of want Folio #3 and Folio #4 for collecting purposes but if I can't get it now, I'm ok since I managed to complete my card set.

I been wanting to check it out, but I do not like Mcdonalds at all and normally get really sick if I eat the food. I have not eaten Mcdonalds in 10 years. I wish there was a way to buy the cards from there without having to get the food :( guess ill have to miss out.

Buy the meal and just give the food away to the homeless. That’s what I did.

Ill probably have to try that! Sadly I haven't been able to go out in several days, the roads and weather have been pretty bad. Hopefully they don't run out of cards

Ah, yea that pileup looks bad :/. I wouldn’t rush it. I read a lot of them are getting restocked anyways so you will be fine.
