Hi all!
My buying was stopped for a time being, but I'm back with some new gets, and some old gets! (Translation: "I thought that there aren't enough items for a separate post, so I decided to show off items I got a long time ago, but never mentioned them previously"). I hope you enjoy my post! :D
I still have some items in the mail, some in the warehouse, and I hope to share them with you, too!
I also promised a looong time ago to post some special get, but I haven't found any way to properly photograph it XDD I'm working on it currently, and I seriously hope to post it soon...
Okay so first is...
Suicune figure!
Wait, what's great about this Suicune..? It's the AG KeshiPoke! One of the rarest Suicune figures out there. And what's even greater about it...
...yep, I paid only 300 yen for it.
I always thought it would be hard to distinguish between these small figures, but the AG KeshiPoke is bigger and made of a rubbery material (instead of hard plastic). Another characteristic feature is the shape of ribbons - this is the only Suicune figure in which the ribbons are froming loops. Its remake from 2010 looks similar, but the ribbons are forming waves, like in the rest of Suicune figures (I regret not having it for comparison photo). I'm desperately looking for Entei and Raikou from this set right now.
Next are Pokemon Center Medalief coins. These are sold in a machines in Pokemon Center where you can press them yourself! Since the available Pokemon change frequently, and there are only as many coins as were pressed by the people, Medalief coins are becoming rare quickly. But not very pricey, I noticed (I overpaid for mine). These particular coins were from a seller who was relisting them for over two years on Y!J (if any of you are actively searching for Beasts' merch you probably have seen that listing). I think that I'm as happy as the seller who finally got rid of them.
"Lord of the UNKNOWN Tower" movie necktie.
Ahhh I'm super happy that I got it! The seller listed it for 7000 yen on Mercari. I really wanted it, but at that time I didn't have 7000 yen to spend. The next day they put it for sale for 6000 yen, and the day after for 5000. I was observing the decreasing price and waiting for funds. At the time I got money on my account the tie was listed for 1500 yen XD It was a nice reverse auction. Even better - the tie originally cost 3000 XD I had it in my wishlist for so long and I'm so happy that I got so good deal on it.
The package doesn't have any info on who made it, but according to the merchandise list at the end of third movie pamphlet it was made by Shogakukan Production. I tried to convince my friend to wear it for photo purposes but without success so far.
"Celebii: a Timeless Encounter" movie Suicune block strap
Very rare and pretty strap. The blocks are semi-transparent and in a very pretty shade of blue. Small Suicune at the end is made from an unique mold I haven't seen in any other item. I was so happy that I grabbed it for relatively cheap and without any competition. At least until I noticed a refund on my bank account. I asked my middleman what happened, and they replied that the seller has lost the item and couldn't send it. Ugh. I mean, it's good I've been refunded, but I'd prefer the item itself.
Around one week has passed, and I noticed the same auction being relisted. I decided to bid again, hoping that this time the seller wont loose the item. They didn't, thankfully. And thanks to the power of destiny the strap is now mine.
Ichiban Kuji part 8 cellphone strap with Entei and Suicune.
I got the right one years ago, but I was still searching for one with Suicune. I love the image of Entei used for the big charm, and I love how Small and chubby Suicune is. This is the item I'd totally attach to my flip phone back in 2000's.
I got almost all items from the Sumi-e promotion at the Pokemon Center, but I want to show my favourite one.
Beast Trio Sumi-e Retsuden Kakejiku (hanging scroll)
I love it. I love everything that's about Japanese traditional art, and I love Pokemon. So the combination of these two things is even more love. This promo images were painted by artist Okazu (御歌頭) that specializes in combinig ink painting with more contemporary themes. He has painted many anime characters, and his works are amazing! I'm so happy that Beasts were included in this promo. I keep it in foil.
Raikou Kirakira plush.
Ugh, it's so hard to find them with tags now! I regret not grabbing Entei when I had a chance ;_; At first I didn't like this plush; the material is very rough to the touch, the stuffing easily comes out, and the glue is visible on a felt parts. I put it at the top of my cabinet and kind of forgot about it. Later in the evening I walked into the room and light the ceiling lamp. The light hit the plush and I was in an absolute awe. It looked like being covered in thousands of tiny sparkles (very fitting for Raikou). The fabric glittered and it looked almost magical. Now I totally need to find Entei and Suicune!
Custom bootleg pillow.
I got it as a birthday present. I don't know if I should add it to my collection, since it's bootleg and features probably a stolen art. But it was so nice to get something Entei-themed.
Yaaas, I know that if I wait long enough I'll find these common items still mint with boxes! This Entei kid is no exeption. It's a re-release of original Entei Kids figure, and the only one Beasts Kids beside the old ones to receive a clear variant!
Kiri handkerchiefs. These were a bonus added to snacks called Kiri sticks; a type of snack with biscuits and cream cheese. I loved these as a kid XD But they haven't been including any bonuses as cool as these! The hankerchiefs are qute big - 30x30 cm (that's... 12 inches, right?), and have pretty colours and dynamic art. I need to find Raikou from this series!
Suicune Furii Furii Furiikku. Small metal keychain that's made of two loosely attached metal elements that can move around. It's really pretty and creative merchandise. I know that Wooper from this series exist, but no other Beast. Does anyone here know about any other Pokemon from this series? I cannot find any information.
My251 box. It was a special delivery box used by Pokemon Center Online during the My251 campaign. In total 21 designs were available, so the chances of getting particular design were low. I tried to get the box myself with the help of my middleman (big thanks to them, since I often have weird or very particular requests about items, and they're doing their best!). I spent way too much with no success XD After admitting my defeat I grabbed one from Mercari before they became too rare.
This item is not Beast themed, but I really wanted it for informational purposes.
It's Pokemon paper stand book. A number of these books exist, but they are extremely rare.
I tried my best but none of these photos do the justice to it. The golden cover reflects the light beautifully, and the pressed Ho-oh looks like a relief. I love it. The insides are made of a thick paper, all Pokemon have bright vivid colours. The level of difficulty is different for each Pokemon - some are simple, and some require a little bit more skill.
Here are all Pokemon included in the book:
I got it because I thought that I could confirm whether or not Beasts were included and resell separate Pokemon for people on the community. But the book is absolutely beautiful. It survived 20 years in this mint condition. I seriously have tears in my eyes at the thought of cutting it to pieces. But at the same time I believe that there are many people who will appreciate the contents more than I do... For the time being I decided to keep it, and I take it out from the closet once in a while to stare at the golden cover... If only it was a version with Beasts stands...
Okay, that's all for now! Thank you for reading and have a nice day :)
