I'm Teppi and I'm a new member of the Pkmncollectors community. I've known about the community for a while but I only decided to register recently.

Some facts about myself:
- My favorite Pokemon is Groudon
- First Pokemon game was Pokemon Ruby
- Favorite Pokemon game is Pokemon Diamond. I spent the most time playing with this version

There's some items in existence that I think you would probably like.
They're all fan-made zukan figures, at scale 1/40. They're a continuation of the zukan series, since the official ones were discontinued. These Chinese fan-made ones though, are of better quality xD

Thank you for providing me with this list! I've only found out about their existence recently and they're really hard to find. Most of them are pre-order figures and the studios only make them for a short period of time. I really like these studio made figures since they are all high quality. My favorites are the Groudon and Arceus lines.

So far I've only managed to buy the Shiny Groudon, Palkia GK, and Giratina Origin Forme figures. I wish I knew about their existence earlier :(

I collect these and keep a close eye on whenever a new set is announced. Even just finding the original listing pictures can be hard after the listing's over.
Of the ones I listed I have Rayquaza, Mega Rayquaza, Kyogre, Dialga. With Giratina, Arceus, Primal Kyogre pre-ordered, and maybe a 2nd hand Groudon coming, it's not really clear yet whether my Taobao agent managed to buy it or not.
Your best bet for finding them is on Taobao's 2nd hand site, just a proxy like Bhiner to be able to have it shipped to wherever you live, unless you live in China, in which case you don't need Bhiner :p
Ebay sometimes has some pop up too 2nd hand. The new ones there though, from seller cosmile_time, and cosmile_punk are sold at like twice the price you pay on Taobao, so I advise against that unless you can't find it elsewhere.
Sometimes one of em shows up on Yahoo Auctions Japan, but that's pretty rare.

Do you have any tips on how to search for these Zukan figures on Taobao or Bhiner? I'm just trying to find out their names in Chinese so I can search for them on Taobao.

I have some tips, but I don't speak Chinese myself either, so it's not perfect.

Have your browser translate it all automatically (Chrome can do that). On Taobao (with these figurines) you'll often have to pay twice, once a deposit to pre-order, and then the rest once it's ready for shipping. If you have it auto-translated, when a figure is ready for shipping, it will often say 'Replenishment', or 'make-up'.

2nd-hand items are near impossible to find without an account, but I've a few links to pages that were meant to be loaded in the Taobao app on your phone. If you view them on your computer, they pages get really stretched out, which is hard to navigate. If you wanna look on your computer, I recommend making the window you're using to visit the page as narrow as it can be before loading the page.
Every page has 6 related items you can navigate to, which is the only way I know to find new 2nd hand listings.
Also note that once an item from a page like this is sold, a few days later the page disappears, and if all of your bookmarked links are sold, you're left with no ways to find those 6 related items, and it's basically done.
So to prevent that, I go bookmark some newly popped up related pages, and remove whichever ones have disappeared every day.

Oh, one more thing. if the price is either something very small, like below 10 yuan, or something like 99999 yuan, it's not actually for sale, and it's just some person trying to show off their stuff..on a sales platform for some reason.

I'll try to do some search once I get home. I bought both the Shiny Groudon and Palkia on eBay. As you mentioned, they were really expensive compared to any other Pokemon figure that I've bought before. That Groudon was also the first figure that introduced me to these Resin Zukan figures (I like to call them Resin figures to differentiate them from the other Zukan line). For the Giratina, I just pre-ordered it from FavorGK.

Are you still active on Livejournal? Do you mind letting me know if you ever come across a Dialga GK listing on Taobao? I'd really appreciate it! I'm currently looking for the Dialga figure to display with my Palkia.

Yeah I'm still active. I post about once per 3-4 months with a collection update. You can probably find my posts on here with the 'zukan' tag. Or just google 'pokemon zukan' or 'pokemon zuken' in images, some of my images pop up pretty high up in the results.

I do know though that the Chinese New year is today, and that all chinese trade/business is suspended for 2 weeks.. Nothing gets shipped, no-one will sell stuff. So.. we'll both have to wait I guess. Oh, and the related listing of a Groudon is the one I've attempted to buy, but will have to wait for to see whether or not the purchase was successful.

These resin zukans are expensive, even on Taobao, just not as expensive as on ebay :p The Primal Kyogre for example, on Taobao I paid about 130 usd I think. On ebay it was listed for 250.

The Dialga link you provided is a looking for post. The guy who posted that is looking for a Dialga, not selling it. While DS and King are the ones more popular among the foreign collectors, there are other studios that are better than them. In China they have these exclusive zukan groups that are all about custom zukans. There’s no way to browse it though if you can’t read Chinese. Some studios like King also have this VIP group where he offers private listing zukans. Kinda like you won’t see UltraNecrozma, Guzzlord and Celesteela on King’s official taobao store. They were/are privately sold zukans. I also have bought Dialga and Palkia before and I know a few guys who have them in China. Sometimes you just have to talk to them privately and hope they’ll sell them to you.

Ah.. That's kind of lame.. Why not just sell it publicly and internationally?

The studios are actually catering for zukan collectors in China. Depending on the character, they often produce only 50 to 100 pieces. 100 is actually too high for most figures. Privately listed zukans usually at 20 to 30 limit. Studios don't need sales from the international community. The zukan community alone in China is more than enough to make their zukans sell out in a short period of time. They're not large scale factories. And they don't want to produce that much to get in trouble with the Pokemon Company. This is why even in China, zukans skyrocket in price fairly quick.

I just saw some of your Zukan Collection posts here on pkmncollectors and they are VERY impressive!! The most recent post that I found was from October 2019. I like how you organize your Pokémon based on their habitat. I used to do that in the game when I was younger. My favorite is the Arceus collection. So far I've collected 8 Arceus Zukan figures and I'm still slowly trying to finish the whole set. Hopefully I can collect all of them before I'm old :D

For the Dialga figure, Bhiner couldn't find the link that you sent me so I used 42Agent instead. Their website can find the listing directly from your link. They also won't process the order until after the Chinese New Year. It's the only Dialga Resin Zukan listing I saw on Taobao so I really hope it was listed for sale and not a looking for post.

Thanks! I think you probably found my 2018 October post, rather than the 2019 one. I only talked about habitats in the 2018 one I think :p

With the Arceus set I was lucky to be actively collecting when the set came out, I simply ordered the whole 17 piece set when I saw it online. I was only a kid at the time, so I was happy to have saved up enough to be able to buy it. I think it costed around a 100 dollars in total or something back then.

About the Dialga, the guy above me, Chris said that the Dialga was apparently only someone looking for a Dialga :/

I read both of your posts from Oct 2018 and 2019. The habitat one is from 2018. I plan to get a display unit like you next year once I move to the new place. My current one is a bit hard to see since it is black.

I saw the comment from Chris but I still tried to order anyway since I'm desperate to get that figure lol. The Palkia standing by itself just doesn't feel right for me :/ If it's not available for sale then they should just cancel my order. It's also sad that they didn't make any Shiny Kyogre to pair with the Shiny Groudon.

I'll just keep checking eBay, Taobao, and Yahoo Auction to see if Dialga ever shows up on one of those sites. It's weird that I've never seen any of these fan-made Zukan figures on Yahoo Auction.

I hope you'll find your Dialga, and yeah, not sure why they didn't make the Kyogre shiny.

Checking everything is all you can do really. I've seen only around 10 on YAJ in total in the past couple years.

Hi, I don't know if you still follow this comment section but has the Primal Groudon Zukan figure ever been made by any of these studios? I only saw 1 Primal Groudon statue on Taobao but I'm not sure if it was 1/40 scale or not. I also haven't seen any fan-made Zukan figure for the Regis and Lake trio.
