Human and Pokémon anime gacha figures -
I recently got a lot of small Japanese gacha figures from the Kanto/Johto era of the anime and figured it’d be fun to share them here. It includes Pokémon and human characters which is great since I love the human characters and they don’t get enough attention.
These Ash and Gary ones are my favourite since they look like that scene in the very first episode where Gary taunts Ash over being late to pick up his first Pokémon while spinning his own poke ball. And it’s always nice to have figures of the best Professor in the franchise.
It’s rare to see figures of Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy but these two are really cute and such nostalgic characters from the anime.
I also got an alternatively posed Ash who looks more like he’s in the middle of a Pokémon battle. He goes perfectly with the James figure who has his classic blue rose from the early anime series. Unfortunately, both Ash and James are missing their companions, except for Jesse who is partly here…
Sadly, the lot I bought only contained Jesse’s severed head which won’t fit on James’s body (I tried lol)
I received these paper inserts along with the figures, although they don’t feature all the figures I got. I love the information you can get from inserts like these and now I’m tempted to hunt down the others.
