pokemon time sukajans!!
Hello! I just got an incredibly exciting package in the mail, check out a flood of pics and my thoughts below the cut ^ ^
I love souvenir jackets, but never got one; the minute I saw the announcement that the pokecen is making their own, I knew I had to get one. The art and colors are gorgeous, and one even featured the plush that started my pokemon plush collection (raikou!). I was lucky enough to get the Hoenn and Raikou jackets, but they definitely are worth it (even if my wallet is crying lol).
The colors on this jacket are my favorite-the yellow is really bright and is such a nice, unique color that goes great with the blue. The details are really nice, such as the yellow-trimmed pockets and the twine along the sleeves. The embroidery is also beautiful, especially the centerpiece on the back. The thread has a satin-y sheen, which shines really nicely in the light.
I only have one gripe about it-one of the raikou heads on the chest has slightly off-center embroidery, which does bother me a bit especially with the cost of the jacket. However, it isn't too bad and the rest of the jacket is perfect.
Material wise, it's a lot softer than I expected. The fabric has a really pretty sheen to it, and is very, very soft and smooth. It's also a pretty hefty jacket, and very warm as well. A big factor in its weight is the fact that it's reversible!
When reversed, it's black with an all-over quilt on it. It even has the same twine detailing around the sleeves, but with a black stripe to match! The zipper just flips around easily when reversed. The pockets on each side are also separate, so you get two secret pockets lol. On the back, there's a small embroidered pokemon time logo, and the tag is hidden inside one of the pockets.
Overall, this is a really great, well-made jacket that can go with a lot of things due to its reversibility. However, before you get it for yourself make sure to ask for pictures before the seller picks it up or specify in pick up instructions to make sure you get one with clean embroidery.
And here's the Hoenn jacket! This one was perfect, and my general thoughts are the same for it, so here's the picture dump lol.
