Post-con gets, easter, and more
Hi everyone!
Just got back from a convension a little over a week ago (Anime Boston), and I wanted to share my new gets since then!
I also wanted to answer a question from my past post about Porygon, which will be seen here...
I went to Anime Boston 2018 with my cousin this year, while we rented a little apartment for a few days. These were just my gets on Day 1.
Ignoring the other items, I found at least 6 things from my mental wishlist. Mudkip was one of them!
I found the All start Charmeleon and Wartortle, but no ivysaur. I did search for one in other booths, but none D: Oh well.
I even found Detective Pikachu for sale too, a bit cheaper then retail price.
Day 2 of con gets! I found Vulpix in one booth, and she was hidden from view. luckily my eyes were on her and I got her.
I got psyduck from the same booth too! Psyduck is super soft and squishy! He makes a great stress relief plush x3
I saw that they had a dusk Lycanroc kid, and i grabbed that as well.
Day 3 of con gets! The ramen shot wasn't open that day, so with the money I decided to get Marowak.
This year was the best IMO compared to the past 6 times I've gone. More details are on my dA journal.
After AB, I came home and this arrived the next day from gaarasyami! I've been looking forward to these! Thank you! :D
Everything out of the box. One set of the big ones was for a local friend.
I had to get the bracelets too ;_;
Saw a ton of pics of people with their pikachu and eevee wearing the bracelets as necklaces and I had to do the same thing. they look great on them!
With last years pikachu and mascot size too.
Now for comparisons.
The 2018 set's material is much softer and fluffier then the 2017 easter pika, but I love the brighter pastel yellow on the 2017 version better.
I like the airbrushed cheeks, flower crown, and soft material on the 2018 pikachu, but I love the pompom w/charm (on mascot only) and pastel yellow color on the 2017 pikachu.
I wonder if they'll do another promo for these next year?
Hopped to Gamestop and saw that they had the new Tomy plush in, and grabbed alolan rattata. His first plush too!
Next day I got Charabug too!
Yesterday I went to the PO to grab my package they had on hold for me! I was super excited for this box!
TBH... I was more excited for the Limited Edition Whisper plush then Porygon... I'm so sorry for saying this... ^^;
But I got my hands on the giant Porygon, after checking several auctions that I was getting the bigger one, then the smaller one which I had from my last update.

The tagart is different... or lack there of for the small porygon. The small one just had a basic banpresto tag with only text, as for the big one having tagart of his species then the info in the fold out tag. I'm just glad the big one doesn't faceplant like its smaller varient XD;
Time for work gets... or lack there of. Not much pokemon stuff coming lately.
This was a magazine when Pokemon was first hitting america.

This one's about the episodes of pokemon. The next few pages talk about the episodes all the way to ep 50s or so I think. they did mention/list the two banned eps, but didn't say anything regarding them other then why they were banned.

Lastly... these three pikachus. I didn't bring em home with me, cause I have too many pikachus XD
