small gets: karel capek teapot and tea tin
Before the holiday, I got the Karel Capek teapot and tea tin I ordered from Japanstuffs in the mail.
It's time to unpack the box. I like that the shopping bag and the Pikachu card were included and the box the teapot came in has an adorable print on it and I love the designs on the tea tin. The little touches, like the Pokemon berries on the platter as opposed to random foods, make me appreciate it all the more.
I love the design of the packaging of these teas. They're the epitome of my aesthetic. It's hard to the tell in the photos, but the bag is pyramid shaped and I'm a sucker for those. They're different and I think they're cute and I heard they brew better than the flat bags.
I can't tell what kinds of flowers the Pokemon Garden tea is made of only based on its smell and taste, but it does smell and taste wonderful. The floral taste and smell is very strong and makes me think of roses, geraniums, and hibiscus.
The Earl Grey tea has a strong black tea taste with lots of tannin flavor, but the citrus notes are weaker than in Twinings's or Choice's Earl Grey teas.
Of these two teas, the Garden tea is one I'd want to buy again, because it tastes different from teas I've had before and I prefer more citrus taste from Earl Grey teas.
I have not used the tea pot, yet, but I love the design of it. I didn't know its top had a floral print! That's so neat.
