A little bit of gets, and a little bit of sales!

Feb 14, 2018 02:54

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a great year so far! :V Today I have a small gets post, and finally, after One Million Years, a sales post! Gets come first!

It's all plush this time, from Y!J as well as the Pokemon Center website. Here's a group shot of almost everything, minus the Big Get:

From left to right/top to bottom: shiny Mimikyuu Pokecen plush, Mushroom Harvest Pikachu Celebrations plush, Ditto as Gloom mascot and standard plush, and Jirachi kuttari plush (sleeping and awake)!

I've been looking forward to getting ahold of some of these plush for quite a while! Let's take a look at 'em!

Kuttari plush are hard to take nice pictures of, but I did my best. :1 I love these two, they're so floppy and cute! I was a little worried about how its face would look at that angle, since Jirachi doesn't really have a chin/neck to speak of and some laying plush already look strange to me in that area, but the structure of the plush looks just fine in person. (though, awake-Jirachi has a tiny piece of what I'm guessing is clear embroidery stabilizer sticking out above each eye that will drive me nuts until I go in there with a pair of nail clippers and fix it lol)

Ditto as Gloom plush! These are so precious, I'm really glad I was able to find the mascot size on Y!J for a decent price. Whyyyyy didn't the mascot get a US release... Though, I'm actually glad I ended up getting a Japanese release version of at least one of these plush, since the hang tag design is so much nicer, haha. The spots on their heads match across the two sizes, which is very charming to me.

The shiny Mimikyuu is actually a gift for a friend- I wish I had gotten a picture of her with the pink ribbon I tied around her neck, it was really cute!!- but I wanted to include her in the shot anyway. (Her name is Revenge.) Here she is with her buddy!

It's been a while since the last time I bought a plain ol' Pikachu plush. But I'm a big mushroom fan-- I love everything about them except eating them (can't deal with the texture) and I have a slowly-growing mushroom-themed Pokemon collection, so when I saw this plush on the Pokemon Center website, I knew I had to have him. :'V That was actually a few years ago, and I think I got the wrong idea and assumed that the Celebrations plush were limited-run seasonal items, so I was surprised to see him still available when I checked earlier this year! This is also my first Celebrations plush, and I'm very happy with the quality.

too precious!

The wooden toggle buttons on the jacket work, though the jacket itself is stitched shut in the front so it doesn't open. One thing that really surprised me is the fact that the coat is made with a wool-blend fabric! I'm sure it's a very low percentage vs. the polyester in the fabric, but it's such a neat little detail that adds something very fall-like to the feel of the plush.

And last but certainly not least, probably the single largest addition to my collection in quite some time...

The 1:1 scale talking* Jirachi plush!

I was so excited to finally get my grubby mits on this cutie! This one is missing its talk-box, and looked kind of dingy in the auction photos, but it's actually in pretty good shape, given its age! There are a couple of spots of dirt here and there that I'll get around to cleaning soon, but overall the plush fabric is clean, and sooo soft. (I'm a little unsure of how easy-to-find this plush is, actually; I was under the impression that it was relatively rare, but I've seen a few listings for it pretty recently, at fairly low prices? Not that it matters that much either way, I'm just curious.)

The tush tag does have all its lettering worn off, and the wish tags... have definitely seen better days.

eeew...

They're a little dirty, the felt is pilled up in some areas, and the top one especially has been stretched way out of shape. (Pardon the tag in the second shot, my phone camera wouldn't focus without it.) Since the plush is technically damaged anyway, I think I'll make this my first (very minor) refurbishing project; I'll give the fabric a light cleaning, replace the felt tags, and also stuff something into the pocket in the back that used to house the voice box and sew it shut permanently. Simple stuff, but things I'd like to get better at doing!

A size comparison lineup of my smallest (petit mascot keychain), middlest (Pokedoll), and largest (1:1) Jirachi plush.

And secondly... after picking and fussing over it forever, my sales post is finally complete!

I've got a mix of older and newer merch listed, from plush and cards to charms and a certain beach towel, and also a very hypnotic looping gif of a lenticular card if you're into that, lol. I'll be adding more within the next month or so as I get my collection more organized (and hopefully set up some of it to be displayed!), but this is what I'm starting with for now. Thanks for taking a look!

A couple things to note:

- I was given sales permission quite a while ago by lineaalba, and am assuming it hasn't "expired" during the time I wasn't active in the community. If this is an issue, please let me know!
- It's been a while since I've been on the selling end of things, so I spent a lot of time checking prices; that said, I am open to haggling, especially on multiple items.
- I'm located in the US, and can ship internationally, but if you're worried about shipping costs, please ask for a quote before committing.
- All other rules + info can be found in the post itself. Click here or the preview below to visit!

Thanks again for reading! It's super late here, so assuming most people will read this in the morning, I hope you have a great day! \o/
