shiny+plush get!
Hello! I hope everyone's had a good start to this month, because I sure did with these gets! Get. Gets. That word looks and sounds weirder the more you read/say it lol. Here's a little preview:

All of these are from y!jp. I won the BEAMS pikachu for around $80 (that's with the proxy fees), which I thought was pretty good compared to other prices I've seen them go for (plus it had never been taken out of the plastic it came in and stored so it was in perfect condition!). But then the day after it came in I saw one pop up for $50 :'). That's just how it is sometimes lol, still happy I got him.
The buneary canvas and banpresto keychain, on the other hand, were really cheap! They were bundled together and I got them for $8 (not including shipping). They're so cute and fuzzy!
I love shiny pokemon, and so whenever I see plush merch released for them i'm absolutely ecstatic. I wasn't as into collecting when this first came out, but I was lucky to get ahold of one now for under $100. This plush was released to commemorate the 35th anniversary of a Japanese clothing/department store, BEAMS, and the 15th anniversary of Pokemon in 2011.
Surprisingly, it's the first ever shiny pikachu plush made! Its shinieness was to show how special the event is. It even says so on the hang tag (thanks google translate!). Apparently, only 3000 were made, with 1000 available at pokemon centers and 2000 at BEAMS.
The little regular pikachu pokedoll in the shopping bag is so cute. It's a complete mini plush, which is actually a downsized version of the 10th anniversary pikachu pokedoll minus the embroidered '10' on its foot. Seems like this shiny 'chu is a collector as well! I love mini things like that so it makes it even cuter to me :D
The fabric it's made out of is really nice as well; it's a short-haired faux fur kind of fabric that feels really high quality. It looks great and makes it seem kind of realistic, and contrasts nicely with the minky of the mini pokedoll. Another thing I found unique is the fact that it has 2 tush tags! It has the one on its side that says BEAMS and then the regular one on its tush. The other beams shiny pikachu, the patterned one, has the same thing. I wonder why they did that?
Finally, the buneary canvas. I considered getting the pokedoll, but it looks kind of malnourished with that odd head pattern, and the pastel color of the canvas looks cuter in my option. This one is the 2009 rerelease, and it is tiny and adorable! It's smaller than even a pokedoll, just look at it next to my hand!
It is absolutely adorable, and the material they used for the fluffy parts is perfect. And the fact that I got an extra keychain with it just adds to it. I wish they made a plush of its shiny, the pink would look so cute!
