What / Who is this ~Mystery~ Jigglypuff?

Edit: I'm pretty sure this toy is made out of wood. (And it bears a lot of similarity to a Takara Tomy by the hole in the back, but they're still not the same ( Read more... )

What kind of material is it made of? Like squishy? Hard? Or like a bendy plastic? Metal? Or even porcelain? With the hole it kind of reminds me of a bath tub toy but not so sure 🤔 And if not and there's no text maybe like it came off something? Hmm definitely a mystery ^-^

She's 100% hard and I think is actually made out of wood! Which surprises me. I don't want to scratch off any of the paint to find out for sure though.

Yeah definitely don't wanna do that so I trust your judgement :) Wood is very unique wow! Makes me kind of think that it could possibly be a custom? A really good custom? Lol. Either way I'll keep an eye out for you if I see anything like it. Hope you find where it came from! My bet is it definitely came off something though because someone put that hole there for a reason. I think it's pretty cool :)

The paint seems too uniform to be a custom, and yeah, I think it really used to be attached to something. Someone recently showed me how this toy is similar to http://pkmncollectors.livejournal.com/22444073.html
this takara tomy jigglypuff. But they're still not the same.

I have not found any matching figures in my searches.
Without any identifying trademark labels or imprints, I would have to say it may be a bootleg Jigglypuff toy.

Have you ever heard of wooden bootleg toys? I haven't, and I think this one might be wooden. I don't want to scratch off the paint for sure though.

I feel like she may have been part of some larger set (of something??), and that's where the imprint might have been on.

It just feels like it's too good quality to be a bootie. Then again, I also have zero memory of how I came across her.

I have no idea where I bought it, or when I bought it, or if it was even ME who bought it. I don't tend to buy bootleg things if I can help it. The reason I thought this might not be a booty of the DX Jigglypuff is because I think it predates the DX Jiggly, is made of wood ( which is weird for a bootleg), and isn't even the same pose as the DX.

Do you know when the DX came out? Also what DX stands for?
