Getspalooza!! The grails, the obscure, the big and the small!
Hellooo everyone! How are you all doing? ^_^
First up...I would love to thank everyone of you who participated in my survey earlier this week! I got a whopping 65 respondants!! That is a LOT of data for me to work from and the results of it are very interesting to say the least! =D You have no idea how much I truly appreciate this fantastic turnout, you've all helped me in an immeasurable way! Thank you everyone, you've been fantastic as always! =D
So why am I posting again so soon? For Pokémon collecting reason of course! <3
I've had a rather exciting load of gets slowly hoarding together since my last gets post...and I think you'll all agree that even for me...this is quite a varied lot this time xD There's grails, theres oddities, theres the big gets and even the tiniest piece of merch I've ever had, hehe! <3
So without further ado, lets have a look at all these goodies, eh? =D
Yup...I'm first going to apologize for all the pictures, the reason for them being that I've limited space on my camera's SD card now...and I really wanted to use these pics for my collection site aswell so I thought I'd save myself from deleting photos and just kill two birds with one stone xD
I'm going to go through all these in order that I actually received them! ^_^ So who got here first...?
Oh SURE! Lets kick things off with a mini grail, haha! =D A Nidoqueen Tomy figurine, aaaah!! So after struggling for goodness knows how long to try and find this lovely little madam without the stingy price tag of $70...I finally came across this one on Y!J! ...For $11. Yeah yeah yeah...she's a little scuffed up (more noticeably on her horn, her arm and her tail) but it really only looks bad in close ups like these photos! xP Sat on a shelf...she looks mint! <3 I'm SO pleased to finally have the full set of Female Nidoran line Tomys in my collection...just Nidorino to go and I've got the full set of both genders, whooo! =D
This also came in the same package that my Nidoqueen Tomy arrived in! ...No, not the 3DS xD The cover plates!! I absolutely love the derpy sprites of the old games (an sometimes not so derpy! Seriously...I think some Pokémon actually looked their best back in the 1st gen games!), so when I saw this was being released, I had a bit of a fit, hehe! A fit to the point I sold my old model 3DS, bought the "New" 3DS for the cover plate customization...and then pre-ordered these plates from AmazonJp in a paranoid frenzy because I convinced myself they would sell out super quickly and I couldn't find anywhere in the UK who was taking preorders on them xD Needless to say...Amazon.co.uk ended up getting them anyway and in plentiful supply...xD Yay for pointless endeavours!

You could have squeezed em in somewhere! xP (And ignore my grumpy looking little Rathalos mascot who's attached to my console xD He's my Monster Hunter buddy and I've been playing MH4U a lot recently <3 He's sort of entitled to be there!)
I'm not even going to bore you all with this one xD Even i'm getting tired of seeing them...just an impulse "20th Anniversary Hypetrain" buy =P
This sweet little thing was sent to me by meloman1a as a part exchange for a sculpture commission I am currently working on! It's the Cresselia Pokédoll of course! ^_^ Isn't she absolutely precious? And those devillish arched hands...what could a Pokémon so cute possibly be plotting!? xD

And heeeere's the big grail!! 8DD The Oversized Reshiram Pokédoll! AAAARGH! <333 I've been after this Pokédoll since they were released in Japan...what...like 5 years ago? I was a poor 17 year old then and couldn't afford to buy her at retail price...a painful regret I'm sure many of us collectors have xD While she did increase in price and she was considered rare after that point though...my biggest obstacle was finding someone actually willing to part with their beloved Pokédoll! I finally found this one on a Facebook group and jumped at the opportunity to own her! Now she's here with me, I can completely understand why everyone else was so unwilling to part with their beloved Reshi! I for one certainly won't be letting this one go either <3
Now...I know I was initially only looking for a MWT Japanese release...but I did cave and instead bought the MWT US release...but I'm not mad at myself ^^ The removeable hangtag just means guilt free snuggles with this adorable plush! Last night we watched the second Pokémon movie together, hehe! xP
A gets post just doesn't seem like a complete gets post any more without mentioning my supplier of all things AWESOME, clicky797! Yup, we've been trading again! xD Until stated otherwise, everything from here on out is from her! =D I swear my collections would'nt be half the size they are now without her help. Half the size and nowhere near as interesting and obscure, haha! <3 But wait...I don't collect Azumarill...
Aha!! Azumarill was hiding a mini treasure trove of adorable Nidoran goodness!
Yay! The same gorgeous soft-shaded artwork I came to love when I received the Nidoran line lenticular Tazos before!!
Everything inside this little Azumarill clad booklet is an adorable little sticker! Here's the two stars of the booklet for me! And right next to them is a tiny little silhouette sticker with what I presume is some flavor text about the Nidorans themselves! TOO DARN CUTE!
What's this!? My sweeties are even on the back of the booklet! I was also surprised by my lack of knowledge of the Unown alphabet xD I never realized V Unown was actually supposed to be a V...I'm not even sure if I could tell you what I thought it was in the first place.../derp]
Aaaaah!! A Pokédex 3D Pro Ekans sticker! <3 I actually have this game(?) on my 3DS as I love to use it as a 3D reference for my sculpting...and I love Ekans's model on it! He looks very sleek and they really nailed his head shape x3 Now I have a sticker of my favourite lil' slitherer using my favorite model! <3
Ekans and Arbok found their way into some sort of board game in the form of chips! =D I've no idea which game these came from, or what the text on them says...but Ekans, Arbok and a psychedelic background! That's good enough for me! <3
Aha! Ekans and Arbok weren't alone! The lady Nidos got in on this game as well! =D

This stamp makes me smile. It's a chibi stamper of course and I already have the blue based Nidoking stamp...but this pink based one...I just love the contrast of the big burly, masculine Nidoking placed atop a pretty pink stamp xD Just the green based stamp to find now for my Nidoking set to be complete! 8D
Mini models, yay! <3 These little colorful lumps are AWESOME! They look just like little gummy candies xD They kinda feel like them too..I'm not licking them to find out if they actually are or not though =P This one of course is Nidoran Female! The level of detail on these for such small figures is brilliant!
Nidoran arrived with all her family too! Here's Nidorina looking her typically scrappy, tomboyish self! <3
And the motherly Nidoqueen! I love her teeny little hands on this figure, hehe! <3 Her face is sooo lovely as well...I have to say it again...brilliantly detailed for such a small figure! <3
....And finally, THIS is what I was most excited to receive from clicky797. No. That's not a gummy worm candy. It's not a Caterpie either. That's EKANS! He's UNCOILED!! =O He's actually posed as if he's slithering around, I can't beleive it! The only other figure I can think of that has Ekans uncoiled and on the move is the Zukan figure! I never even knew mini models of uncoiled Ekans existed until clicky797 presented me with this little lime green wonder for trade. When I first saw him, I actually took to visiting marphoria's collection website to see if we were dealing with an undiscovered Ekans figure as I was dumbfounded by him, haha! Sure enough though, Mar's collection shed some light on this little fella and he was indeed an alternatively posed Mini Model! Marphoria's collection contains a gorgeous clear yellow Ekans that I had previously skimmed over as he was pictured in amongst his normal coiled posed bretheren...and my brain just figured he was a clear yellow coiled variant xD Silly brain! Pay more attention! I'm truly intrigued as to why Ekans has two mini model poses now...and receiving this little guy has started a new found obsession to find even more colours of this figure pose! <3 I need a slithery Ekans rainbow army!! So that's that for my trade with clicky797, thank you SO much for all these poison typed goodies! <3 I absolutely LOVE everything I received, and I simply cannot wait to have it all out and displayed when I finally get my own place and new collection cabinets! =D
WAIT! ...There's on more get! HERE IT IS! Stand back, take it all in! STARE ON IN AWE!! Wait...Where is it? *puts on her best Rafiki voice* Look harder...
THERE HE IS! 8D Yes! THAT, my dears, is a Nidoran Male Keshimon metal figure! From none other than our very own iamconfused1! This one is the silver variant and I never thought I'd actually own one of these. I never had him down as a grail because I wasn't actually actively searching for him...and I knew how rare Keshimon figures were xD I just figured, "If I find one, I find one..." and that I wasn't going to drive myself crazy looking for one. I had considered buying sealed packages to try my luck for either the silver or gold variant at one point, but I'm a pretty bad gambler xD I'd never stop until I got one. Luckily, I never got wound up in that can of worms and found this guy for sale! And for a very good price! He arrived this morning...and I couldn't be happier. He is the smallest piece in all of my collections! He is half the size of my Nidoran Female Mini Model in height and length wise, he's the same size as my index finger nail! As a sculptor...I don't have long nails either. They're trimmed as short as I can get them to avoid scratching and nicking clay as I sculpt...so he's small. VERY small <3 And heavy for his size too as he's metal! Now the hunt begins for his gold brother! <3 Luckily, Nidoran Male is the only Pokémon I collect who actually has any Keshimon figures...so the gold one is the final one I need to complete that section of my collection! Thank goodness since they're silly rare xD
