In celebration of October, Pokemon of the Week has gone full spooky! This whole month we'll be celebrating Dark and Ghost types of pokemon, separated each week into generations. This week we're all about generation 5!

Aaah, Zorua! What a cutie! I don't care much for Zoroark, but I just love Zorua <3 I once caught a shiny of him in AS... then accidentally evolved him and saved. I got so upset XD
Also, in the starting paragraph you said 'this week we're all about generation 4' not 5 (sorry it's really bothering me XD)

Sorry! I hate when that happens!
My friend had a similar issue, when he caught a shiny while IV training his pokemon in gen 5...
But instead he forgot to save when he caught it! And reset it when he fainted the wrong pokemon....

Everyone shook their heads :/

Oh no, that's so unfortunate! That's always been one of my worst fears while shiny hunting tbh. Well, that and accidentally resetting a shiny when soft resetting XD

Yeah, it was so bad... oh well. Didnt compare to the poor friend who hatched, wait for it, Three... thousand eggs the masuda method way, and still didnt get a shiny -__-

At least he didnt break his 3ds, like I did ._.
(That method of taping the c-pad in gen 6 is awful...)

Th...three thousand??? I barely got to 80 before I quit :O And that's unbelievable that they still didn't get a shiny!
I don't like the c-pad taping either...

Yep.
I did seven thousand eggs..... was pining for ten when my control stick started getting stuck.
I did the taping and mindless going up and down a route like I used to as kid.

Now the c-stick moves the characters to the left, right, and slighty lower left without me even touching it.... and will continue on to do so. So much rage.

I got a fair amount of shinies (like, 4) I really wanted but I seriously regret it... especially when I tried the safari trick and caught another 4 in less than a week.
I wanted to cry by then.

Aaah, that sucks :/
Yeah, I have no kind of patience so I decided to ditch the Masuda method and use the friend safari. Needless to say, it suited my needs better XD
