2-year collecting anniversary, collection update, translation help, wants list, and auctions/sales!
Hello comm! I know I've posted almost nothing but sales as of late, but I aim to change that today. I joined the comm in December of 2012, making this a month or so past my 2-year anniversary! That means...reintroduction time!
My name's Jacqueline, although everyone calls me Jac. My first ever Pokémon game was Sapphire, and I played it 24/7 until I accidentally left it in an airport on the way to visit grandparents. :( That makes the Hoenn region extra special to me, and I was one of the many calling for a remake for a long time. I was so, so happy when I found out about ORAS! Between Sapphire and Alpha Sapphire I played all the other games and found this community, giving me the opportunity to collect merchandise of my favorite team members. I collect the Salamence line, the Phanpy line, the Gogoat line (my main XY fave), Torkoal, and Heatmor. As of late, I also started some side collections that I'll show off as well!
So, here we have my Salamences! In the original Sapphire, it was so hard to get a Bagon! It took me hours and hours (probably because I didn't 100% know where in Meteor Falls to look), but I eventually got her and had a formidable Salamence on my team. Add to the fact that she was awesome looking, and my 8-year-old self was hooked. 8 years later, and I still love her!
Here are all my figures!
I managed to complete my kids collection! Got the shiny regular kid and the clear attack kid! I like the shiny one even more than I thought I would. I love the contrasting colors!
I also managed to nab the Salamence retsuden stamp to complete my stamp collection for this line. I think I have the only known Bagon stamp for the time being!
And here are the plush! The PC plush is much smaller than I thought it would be, but that is actually a huge plus because I only have so much room. I also got one with a mostly non-derpy face! You can also see my Pokedoll here. He's one of the first Salamence items I managed to get my hands on, and probably my favorite.
And now for the real grail get! I was looking for TOMY figure lots to buy for my brother's Christmas present when I found something I never expected to see. I got really lucky - if I hadn't looked at the extra pictures in the description section, I never would have spotted it!
It's the Salamence keshipoke!! I could not believe it when I saw it. I have been looking for this guy since I started collecting, yet I've only ever seen it up for sale this one time. And it's in great condition! (and so happy too)
And now for my other main collection - Phanpy and Donphan! Unfortunately, I haven't gotten too many new figures, but I did get some other things!
Recently, I got a really great package from tortoises. They agreed to sell me some of their Phanpy items, and when I opened that package, I was pretty pleased! The keychain is pretty darn rare - in fact, the picture on my wants list was the exact same keychain I got! They are not easy to find. The puzzle and the pen were both exciting items I had never seen before.
This bag is actually my biggest find of the year besides the DX Pokedoll. It is so cute! Does anyone have any information on it? I think it might be from a Pokécenter promotion, but I've got nothing else.
This here is a custom painting done by zenity. Honestly, I think it is absolutely gorgeous. The painting is so well done and both Salamence and Phanpy look so happy! I don't have the words to thank them enough. <3
And now for the plush! I finally got the McDonald's plush, and I'm only 2 plush away from a complete collection! I also got what seems to be a make-your-own-plush kit? I'd love it if someone could tell me more about it.
And of course we can't forget my top fave Pokémon item of all time - my DX Pokédoll! MWT and everything! This guy doesn't fit anywhere on my shelves, so I keep him on my bed.
And here we have my Torkoal, Heatmor, and Gogoat collections. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten anything new for them except for the tiny Torkoal on the top row.
And down here I may or may not have a Taillow/Swellow collection. I mean I'm definitely not collecting them...what? whaaaaa... (I can't have more collections...my wallet doesn't agree!)
And speaking of Pokémon that I am definitely not collecting, here are all my side collections! Sceptile in particular holds a special place in my heart, being my very first starter. The Sceptile line, Tropius, Zangoose, and Buizel, along with some random figures I like!
I started a new collection recently - bath salt figures! They smell so nice. I started collecting them because I thought it would nice to have a challenge - they're from all different times, and some of them are super hard to find.
And now, for my latest gets! Big thanks to xxlatiosxx for these. I never, never thought I would see this Donphan stamp! I didn't even have a pic for my wants list! The Grovyle stamp is another one I've been after forever, so thank you to happyjolteon for that!
Also, some questions! Can anyone who speaks Japanese translate these for me? The note is something that was taped to the back of a Phanpy magnet I won, and the DS card is a random item I received in a lot. Got my answer! Thanks for the help!
I'm also really interested in punching out my wants list!
First up: Salamence grails! I am willing to pay a lot for these - I lost out on both recently, so I'd love to get another shot at them!
