An exciting 3 months of gets!
Hello! It's been almost 3 months since I last posted -- oops! This semester has flown by, as it was my first in a new city at a new university for grad school. The past few months have been very hectic, but they have been very good for my pokemon collecting!
My new residence/post office is really bad at handling packages, so I discovered it was best to have all of my packages sent to my permanent residence. For Thanksgiving I was finally able to go there and collect months-worth of packages. So! In this post, I will show the highlights of my exciting gets.
Some very very very exciting things in this picture!! The DX Tomy Bulbasaur figure! It is a beauty, and I am so happy to have one now! The Banpresto Arcanine...O_O I have been seeking this plush since ~2009 (I received the bootie version as a gift for Christmas in 2010), and can you believe it, thanks to a GA run here, I finally have it. I still can't believe it. Next!! An unbelievably beautiful custom by Serenity-Sama. Usually I miss these kinds of chances, but I actually had luck on my side this time. I'm so happy too. Thank you, serenity-sama for the outstanding quality and craftmanship! Then there's the cutest dedenne ever! Those cheeks! That face! I'm a puddle of mush.
Next row, a crazy needle-felted venusaur I randomly found on y!j. Honestly, when I bidded on it, I had no idea what I was actually receiving, but bam, I won it, it shipped across the globe, and holy moly is this venusaur a beauty. (I'll post more pictures because it honestly surprised THE HECK out of me). ANWAY moving on, some little yet higher-priority wants for me - the Jakks wingull plush, makuhita might bean, misdreavus pokemon time strap, pelipper and hariyama clear kids. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST. if this plush was not a grail of mine i have absolutely no clue what is. Over the past 2/2.5 years I have actively lost out on 8 of the pokemon time bulbasaur plush (like, putting down max bids and still losin'). EIGHT. and guess what, THE LITTLE TOOTHY GRIN CREATURE IS MINE. it exceeds all expectations and will never leave my collection. HUZZAH
LOOK AT THIS BEAUTIFUL BEAST. i cant get over it. the details are...wow.
I also commissioned the talented xsystem to complete a makuhita pokedoll. I havent quite received it, but here are her (xsystem's) pictures of it!!! I couldn't be happier with this bub!
I have somehow misplaced my other pictures of my other gets, but speaking of makuhita, LOOK AT THIS. the only official makuhita plush! This was also a grail of mine because they are just so dang rare and hard to find! Also! The hariyama TFG is new! WAHOO. I just need to find a makuhita tomy and I'll consider this collection pretty much complete. (pokecen please bring me more maku merch!) e.e
And lastly!! The mismagius pokedoll and the misdreavus mascot! I thought the mismagius wasnt going to get to me as it was part of the GA held during summer that took like 3 months to receive. But now it's here and that's all that matters! ^_^
