Thoughts on 3D Printers and Collecting
Hi everyone!
I've been thinking for a bit on the emerging 3D printer technology, and how this is going to affect my Pokemon collection. I'd be really interested to know others thoughts and opinions, so I wanted to post the question:
How do you think 3D printing will influence Pokemon collecting? Good, bad, or maybe it will never really take off?
I really have mixed feelings on 3D printing. On one hand, I think that having the ability to print figures seems really neat, since I could print virtually anything I wanted! Although, I am mostly feeling a little disappointed about the idea of printing figures. For me, the scarcity of things like shiny kids, etc. made them really special, and the idea of being able to print off an exact duplicate seems like it might make it less meaningful.
Anyway, I wasn't sure if this was off topic, but I thought it might be nice to discuss something a little different too :)
