First Collection Update!

Aug 07, 2013 17:08

Hey there, everyone! You might have seen me post/comment here and there, but I've never gotten the chance to show my collection so hence this post! So hi!! I've been a fan of Pokemon for over ten years, but it wasn't until earlier this year where I finally decided to start a collection. Despite my love for the adorable little creatures we call Pokemon, my heart's set on collecting humans/trainers. With that, I've decided my main focuses to be Misty, Touko/Hilda/White, and Touya/Hilbert/Black. I also run allthingsmisty and chessagency on tumblr to show my love for these awesome characters. ♥

Preview below! (Warning: image heavy.)

I will start off with my Touko/Hilda/White and Touya/Hilbert/Black collection~ ♥

^Ta da! I'm so very happy I started with nothing and have made progress with these guys! If you guys haven't read the Pokemon Special manga, I highly recommend it! Black and White have the cutest interactions!

^I feel extremely lucky these two managed to get quite a lot of merchandise! At first when I started to collect them, I was really shocked by the Dot Sprite and Pokemon Mate promos! It makes me wish I was around for those promos when they were first announced. Ah, well. ;v; Oh, and see the little book under the giant head charms of Touko and Touya? It's the Pokemon BW quiz book and it is lovely! Touya has the best faces ever. I was really happy to see so much of these two flawless trainers in the book, so it's natural I had to buy them!

^Pokemon Mate badges! I'm happy when I found Touya! He's certainly a lot tougher to find.

^I'm happy Japan's finally getting going with releasing full volumes of the manga! And I just love srs bsn Black above.

^Front + back side of my Pokemon Mate notebook. It's so small and delicate. I have no idea whether I want to write in it so I'll probably keep it for collection purposes.

^And here's my customs! Aren't they adorable? The brown paper customs were made by captainangel! Thanks again! The doujin (my first and only so far ;v;) is by LuoQin on tumblr. :D

^Touko's so stubborn for pictures. XD This was made by j_degnan! Thanks so much again!

And now moving onto my Misty collection! ♥

I've been searching all over the comm to see if anyone else has the Spanish pog (the one right below the TCG Misty). It's hard to tell in the picture, but it has three frames of Misty tossing a pokeball. Funny story about this piece of my collection. It's pretty much one of the only pogs remaining from my pog collection as a kid. I used to have all of them (well, of generation 1 since this was back when I was nine and Pokemon was just becoming huge in Peru at the time), but somehow lost all but three pogs. I don't remember whether I lost my pogs from moving or something happened to them. Oh well, someday I will rebuild my Spanish pog collection. ;v; Anyway, I'm very fond of my Spanish Misty pog! She's my good luck charm! ♥ The backside of the pog is really worn (well yeah, I've had this for 10+ years XD), but she's my favorite piece of my collection.

^Another picture because who doesn't adore the tomboyish mermaid? ;v;

^Here's my flats collection of Misty! I know I'm still missing plenty, but I'm more focused on buying non-flats.

This is from Let's Find Pokemon 2 book! It has really cute artwork of Misty which was an unexpected surprise.

^My customs (and the other two pogs I was talking about before)! The pogs from what I remember are the second edition called action flips! Basically, you can bend the part where the cracks are for some sort of game. I didn't want to bend the poor pogs so I left them alone. XD I may be wrong, so feel free to correct me. ^^;

^Clearfile of water pokemon and a movie book on the second movie! I was hoping it had a little more Misty, but it didn't aside from tiny screenshots of her. She had one of her best moments in the second movie! Ay. Oh well, it's still a pretty book.

^I have love for the derpy yellow duck so yeah. I doubt I'd actively collect Psyduck, but who knows! Maybe after I finish the humans! ;)

^I couldn't resist this clearfile. I'd love to start a clearfile collection someday, so we shall see.

^Group shot of my customs and clearfiles!

Settei! ;v; I love them! If you have any settei of Misty that I don't have, feel free to show me or sell. :D

^And my plushies (along with my boyfriend's pokemon) say hello! Again, I'd love to actively collect plush, but someday.

I also realized I forgot to photograph two things, but I guess they'll be shown in my next collection update. XD

I might as well show my ultimate holy grail of Touko and Touya:

This was from the article in Nintendo Power magazine called Breeding The Fifth, volume 265! I have no idea whether this settei has actually been seen on auctions, but yeah, this is my ultimate grail. In a way, I know I probably won't find it, but who knows! It's a gorgeous work of Touko and Touya. I love love love how Touya was created after Touko to compliment her. It's such a sweet and cool concept. It's like Touya was made for Touko. ;v; Having this would be AMAZING! I literally had my mouth open when my boyfriend showed me this article. It's a must have! (I would imagine this would be extremely expensive, so gotta save cash for this lovely piece of art!)

As for my ultimate grail of Misty, well... Cels or settei of Pokemon Chronicles episodes would be AMAZING! Misty-centric episodes are Cerulean Blues, The Blue Badge of Courage, A Date with Delcatty, and Luvdisc is a Most Splendored Thing! We can also count The Princess and The Togepi and A Togetic Mirage! in Hoenn, too.
Oh, and this lovely poster of Misty can also count as my grail:

(I'd be happy to take the picture down if this is yours!) It's such a beautiful poster. *grabby hands*

So yeah, that's all folks! Thank you for reading!! I hope you have enjoyed reading through my rambles. ♥

Oh, and I've lowered my prices on my Sales, so please check them out! I welcome haggling! Really want this stuff gone to make room for new things! ;v; Until next time!

settei, people, collection
