Would you ever consider a trade? You happen to have every single one of the canvas eeveelutions I'm still looking for (Vaporeon, Jolteon, Leafeon, Glaceon) but I really can't buy one right now. But I make giant custom plush ( http://www.sparkcostumes.com/photos/albums/userpics/evees.png for example) and I could make a plush up to two feet tall (even a little bigger for the Vaporeon) of any pokemon you like, for one of those canvas plushes.
I understand if you're not interested, of course, but I thought I'd ask!
Actually, it was I who commented on your deviantart page wondering if you'd ever make that Flareon again. lol
I know you said "up to two feel tall", but could you make a lifesize Growlithe plush?? Growlithe is 2 foot 4, but that is including its ears and head fluff, so the actual plush might just be 2 feet or 2 foot 1. I'd want it to look like this: http://piplups.weebly.com/uploads/5/4/9/3/5493849/5118135_orig.jpg?0 I'd like the chest fluff, the tail, and the head fluff to be solid (not like the Canvas plush).
Wow! Those two fabrics were the exact ones I was hoping for. I've been trying to decide which would be better, though. Could you possibly give me examples of some plush you've made that have those? Also, is the faux fur long or short? And, is it soft?
That's fine. What I'm mainly looking for is that it's in standing position, and that its proportional. Also, could you make the eyes blue instead of all black? Here is an example of what Growlithe's eye looks like: http://www.pocketmonsters.net/images/characters/285.png As you can see, there is a little bit of colour under the black part. It might not actually be blue, but that's what I'd like mine to be. ^-^ Can you embroider the eyes? If not, that's fine, but that's what I'd prefer.
Well, I don't have an embroidery machine. I can order patches, but it costs me extra. (About $25 a pair, usually.) If you were swapping the Vaporeon, I'd toss that in at no extra charge. Or you could pay for the eyes. Or I can do felt eyes which most of my plushes have. (Speaking of which, I would kind of prefer the Jolteon if you don't want to trade the Vaporeon. I usually charge $200 for this kind of plush, so that's still a bit of a deal, though not a vast discount. :) Let me know if that's okay
( ... )
So, it would be $25 for embroidered eyes? Yeah, I think I'd like that.
I have decided to go with minky as the fabric. =)
There are also few things I'd like to ask/point out: -Can Growlithe's nose be plastic? If not, that's fine, but it has to stick out and not just be "drawn" on or something -On the chest fluff especially, can you make sure that the fabric's direction is downwards? By that, I mean, if you were to take your hand and place it as the top of its fur and then run it downwards, the fabric would feel soft and flow in that direction. Sorry if that's confusing...I'm not good at explaining things sometimes. >_-Growlithe has pink paw pads on each of its paws. Can this plush have those paw pads? I think they're just cirlces
( ... )
Can do all that. (And the link works this time!) This would take a while to get made, since I'm always busy and trades have to come after paying work. With trades for customs what I usually do is make your plush, and show you photos, and if you approve of them you send your half the trade in payment, and then I send your half after I get it.
Oh, on the pawpads, do you mean one circle on the bottom of each foot? Or does it have a circle for each toe?
Also, would you mind e-mailing me this exact list? It's spark.costumes@gmail.com That way I can find it again later!
Oh, I just mean that each paw has one plain pink circle. Also, the circles do not take up the whole bottom of the feet. They are a little on the smallish side. Even though Growlithe's back paws are a little bigger than its front paws, all four paw pads are the same size.
Yep, I can email you that list.
Also, does that thing I said about the fur make sense? If so, I'd like the direction of the fur to be consistent. I will send you a list of specifics in the email.
Oops, one last question: Can the legs be posable? If not, that's fine, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. =)
I can do jointed legs, though it changes how the plush looks. I can't do like... wire joints, I am really bad at that, and it doesn't work well on thick plushes anyway.
(And yes, the fur direction makes sense. Fur running the wrong way is one of my pet peeves, though it's not as bad on minky! But I try to never have the fur going up, it's just not right!)
Sorry that I'm being a pain, but this is my first ever custom, and I want to make sure I'm doing it correctly. XD How would the jointed legs change its appearance? Like, would the legs be shaped oddly, or would they be fatter or something? I just want to make sure before hitting "send" on the email. =)
AHHH, thank you!! I bought the DX bootie Vaporeon, and its fur all goes in different directions!! >_< It's the worst!!!!! I'd actually like the fur to go up on the ears just because its kind of fun that way. =3
Ah, I see. Then, never mind, I don't want that. Heh heh. Normal legs, it is!!
Also, since I'd like the email to be an exact list, I need to ask yet another thing. In the picture of the plush I showed you, you can see that the chest fluff is made of two pieces. However, I'm not particularly fond of that style. Would you be able to make the chest fluff one, solid piece? Like, the top half would be thicker than the bottom, though. Am I making sense? ^^' I know I can be a little vague sometimes. Sorry about that.
I'm trying to picture this. It can't be thicker at the top if it's just a single sheet, because it would be flat. but like... a pillow kind of a thing, is that what you mean? Shaped like the chest piece in your link, but with some stuffing so it's thicker ?
I understand if you're not interested, of course, but I thought I'd ask!

What material would I be allowed to ask for?

I wouldn't be able to duplicate that plush exactly, of course, but I'd be able to come at least somewhat close, I think. :)

How would the patches work, exactly? Like, would you order them exactly how Growlithe's eyes look, or would you order them plain and then adjust them?

I would order them how I wanted the finished eyes to look, I don't mess with them afterwards. But my supplier doesn't mind doing custom colors.

So you can see the way, at the hips and shoulders, it's not all one piece, the legs are totally separate? It'd be pretty much like that.
