Mod Post: Paypal Dispute EditionGood day, citizens! It has recently come to our attention that a large amount of members are involved in transactions that will not be completed before Paypal’s 45-day dispute limit is up. As per our community rules, that’s not acceptable. It allows the buyer absolutely no recourse in the event there are any issues ( Read more... )

There's absolutely no excuse to not have items shipped by the 45-day limit. I'm a slow shipper and it sometimes takes me up to 2 weeks to ship an item, which is already a really long time. I find not shipping for any longer than a week or two highly irresponsible, even if you are located in a remote part of the world where shipping is slow.

People who take a month or more to ship should reconsider their selling habits, tbh.

This. I myself always ship out items within the first two weeks and even let people know when I ship...but you know that already :P

Thanks for the post EC! Although I do wish I had realized or noticed sooner. Still will definetly keep track of all payments. I thought that the payment was due a little soon but I never questioned it. I thought it was due middle may - now. Well I guess I am too trusting and should question anytuing fishy.

I'm kind of in the same boat as dragonrider49... I had already paid for my Garbodor MPC as well, but I was never informed about any shipping delays??!! This makes me more upset about the matter then I already was. I had already send a PM about this to donny9 but I will certainly open a dispute now. Thank you for all the hard work and trying your best to resolve this!

Communication is also key; if you have not heard from the person you purchased something from a user and have NOT received the item within 30 days of original purchase and they have not contacted you telling you there was a delay for any reason. Send a message and allow 5 days to respond. If no answer THEN file a dispute. :3
(That's how I do it anyways.)

Yes mewtwohavoka is correct; people should not take more than a week to ship an item UNLESS there is a good reason behind it. (Family emergency, pet emergency, car emergency...ETC) HOWEVER let your buyer know!! :3

Good post. Love all the pretty pictures. >.>

Hum Depends really.
Did you provide tracking?
Did you go to the post office and have them attempt to find it?
Did you list in your sales that you are not responsible for the item once it leaves your hands?
Did you ask (or state in rules) tracking can be added for an extra $$?

If you said yes to all of those, then you are in no way responsible and the buyer will have to take the loss. You can however split the loss if you want to be nice. :)

If you said no to one or more let me know and I can see if I have an answer. <3

xP Whoops sorry I thought you were the seller. :)

Did you purchase through Ebay? (If you did you'll get the money back through them.)

If they didn't provide tracking it's extremely difficult in this situation. I always get tracking to protect myself as a buyer and seller. :/
This one I'll have to back out of advice for. In my opinion the seller did not want to protect their goods and also in my opinion they should be responsible for it. If they provided tracking but no insurance the buyer would be out of the item unfortunately. (An awesome seller will do what they can to make the situation right.) But no anything?

T-T I'm sorry have you spoke with the seller?
