I paid non negative money for my copy of Vista... I would appreciate the same property to be true of my file sizes :(.
For those that don't know, I am an X-Files geek... and when I discovered some episodes had out of sync audio, I sprung to the rescue with my copy of Sound Forge and Virtual Dub...
When you open a sound file in Sound Forge, it saves a file (an sfk) that keeps track of the visual data of the audio wave so it doesn't have to regenerate it every time. The file is less then a meg for shows about an hour long. SO I fixed it, deleted my temporary audio streams and when I went to delete these... well.. lets just say I should be able to replicate them to get more free space ;)
Long story short,
Microsoft, why should I buy your products when you can't even count? For shame...
