Well this morning around 3 am, some Spanish speaking thieves were found in my neighborhood.... while I was not the only target (most of the neighborhood was), I was still a target nonetheless... They had a device to open power locks/common alarms if it allowed you to control them remotely. My stereo, i-pass, game cut-outs, and some change were the victims in my car.
If I was still working at Best Buy, its not a big deal, I got an amazing discount on my stereo, but since I am not... its a very expensive stereo. Did DVDs and all... :(. I even had the warrenty on it :(.... They left the drive assembly and my Sirius radio, but took the face plate, and the part that the face plate plugs into (has the eject button on it), maybe I can call JVC and order those parts...
My change wasn't worth too much... maybe 30-80 cents worth
The ipass, I hope they use it, the deputy has the transponder number so I want to track it... I can to get these bastards badly, but I think they may be above that level of stupidity...
The cutouts, while I loved them, I can be without...
I'm not looking for pity, its just a shame stuff like this happens to undeserving people. I really wish there was some good karma in this world for me :-/.
Regardless, The new Dark Passion Play song Amaranth by Nightwish has a sample out. I loved that song, but I HATE the fact they put voice overs in it. I planned on using this in my car... but seeing as circumstances are the way they are, I edited the sample and removed the voice overs indicating the song was a sample. Its not the greatest sounding file, but I've heard MUCH MUCH worse. For the highest quality, I am going to post the song in OGG format. It beats the crap out of any itunes or windows media drm laden piece of bull crap. If you can't play it, get a REAL audio player, not that crappy windows media player or itunes... although a directshow plugin for windows xp does exist and supposivly theres one for itunes too... but the best player you can get is Foobar2000 for windows, barring that, for windows and mac you can get VideoLan, and ANY player in Linux will play it :). I'm too upset and busy to install support for multiple propriety formats that aren't cross platform.
Without further adu...
