So I've been playing through alot of DS games lately... The big one I want to mention is Yoshi's Island DS. That game is freaking GOD... Its like an actual true sequel the original. If you haven't tried it yet, do at least use wifime (or wmb, whatever you choose) and send a demo to yourself so you can try it. One of the best platformers EVER.
Chocobo Tales... Aside from the (Awesome) music rehashes, this game is also incredibly addictive, even if it tries to use Mini Games as a major story element, which I think it does quiet well... Except for bomb wall... I don't know how I played that for over 2 hours and didn't realize that much time had passed... Scary really...
It's a Wonderful World, baring this doesn't get a US release, I want to work on it, I want to work on it VERY BADLY. I can easily see all the individual files structures using ndstool, but why the hell did they compress the font and such? It had quite a bit of free space left, so it really didn't make much sense to me... Oh well, I guess It'll be more of an advanced to intermediate project then... But still fun :).
Phantom Hourglass... FUN! Furigana helps ALOT since my Kanji SUCKS, but even with that help, the game would still be MUCH more for in english.
Cooking Mama DS, I thought it would be like the Wii version, It was fun for a little, but the game doesn't feel whole, like its missing something, oh well, not like I paid for it :P. If your gonna get it, get it on the Wii, it works much better.
Star Fox DS, While it looks and should play like the classic Starfox I know and Love, the stylus controls seem a bit cumbersome for me to use... Not being able to complete training properly really turned me off, I'll try again because I love Fox... but the stylus controls really bring a tear to my eye, though this may change...
Dawn of Sorrow, I love Castlevania, love it to death, to the music, the atmosphere, even the game play. This DS Version is Missing something though, I can't put my finger on it, fun for a litle while, but still feels like a click n play game...
Touch and GO Yoshi, Same thing as cooking mama, it doesn't even play like a real game, theres not even a story, just draw clouds, wtf...
Sonic Rush, I was expecting ALOT more out of this game. I played the first stage and turned it off. Again, the game was missing something. It looked awesome, but I think it just went too fast, it missed alot and didn't feel like a sonic game to me. So sad, Maybe I'll give it another shot later.
Lunar Dragons Song..... No, just no, kill me now. It was like someone translated Japanese to french to swaheli to spanish to english to russian then back to english. The game's translation was an utter MESS, so much so to the point it made me cry. Typos, grammar, everything. You couldn't even figure out what to do in the story because the text was so horrible, you had to use a guide. I tried to give it a fair shot, I really did... Avoid this like the plague, unless you read japanese, maybe then you can play it and understand it. Lots of grinding.... but it does look cool. Please Ubisoft... your french, you dont speak good japanese, please dont localize a game again, thanks.
