While I haven't really posted about me... things worth noting about e3... it sucked.. big time...
Microsoft... blew... Viva Pinata sucked... I couldnt play the game for more than 5 min! Don't even TRY to make it into a mario party... ung... Mass effect looked cool and so did beautiful katamari :)... Also... WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING MAKING YET ANOTHER 360.. the FALCON!? Can't you just discontinue making the damn faulty console and stick with one that won't break by looking at it badly?
Nintendo...Really wasn't expecting much out of them this year... MP, has never really interested me, perhaps ill give it another whirl sometime... but Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, and Phantom Hourglass have me psyched.. brawl.. not so much.. I really don't see the appeal of that fighter... and wtf is with Wii Fit and the (predictable) light gun!? I swear... its going to be AMAZING... or SUCK big time... Though I think Wii Fit is just trying to cash in on a fad....
Sony.... You FINALLY managed to wow me with the psp... but thats it... everything else you had... it blew chunks... hard... it looks like your just trying to clean up all of your mistakes you should not have made the first time around...
Another rant... I'm sick of people classifying things as hardcore, casual, nongamer types... NONE OF THOSE have a definition... just because you don't have a gun or gibs aren't flying doesn't mean something isn't hardcore. And just because you train a dog, doesn't make something casual. I am SICK of hearing catering to hardcore gamers, catering to casual gamers, blah blah blah. To me, theres NO SUCH THING. Just wow, this game is fun, or wow, this game sucks. Of course theres the inbetween... Mario Party 8... Wow, this game is fun, but its not finished! And it looks like a ps2 game! No care was taken in it at all. The games engine is unoptimized, the graphics are lacking (looks worse than n64 almost), animations are unfinished, and... people say its a casual gamer game.... While because its not done, yet it gets the spotlight, I see this as a prime example. MP8 is NOT a casual game, its just a PARTY game, it is MEANT to be played with others possibly at a (gasp!) party. can you play it alone? Yes, and its almost as fun too, in fact, you could play it every day if you wanted, though because its not done and theres really not much content, it would get boring pretty quickly.
Now for example Nintendogs... if I may... THAT is a hardcore game. You cannot leave that dog alone, lest it runaway or get fleas! But it's really not, because theres no such thing as a hardcore game. You know whats REALLY hardcore though? Owning a REAL dog...
Oh yeah... one more thing... PEOPLE! How the hell many World War Freaking 2 games do you F-ing need?! At least the WW2 game with zombies is somewhat original... Call of duty BLOWS... so does medal of honor... and the whole giant pile of ww2 shooters... Heres a gun, heres another gun... heres hitler... and heres a grenade... go get 'em... oh wait its hard core because I can see the soliders expressions grunting and blood oozing out of the bullet wounds... yeah real cool, know whats cooler and more hardcore, joining the military... better yet, build a time machine and enlist in ww2 while your at it... now your hardcore...
