Last Saturday (6th Dec), I went to see The Mighty Boosh at M.E.N. Arena.

Although I enjoyed the show, I didn't find it as funny as I'd hoped. The show lacked structure and relied heavily on people having seen the show. The first half was in fact a series of "guest appearances" from characters from the show which was in danger of falling into the territory of catchphrase comedy. The second half was much better with some new material and characters. The show ended with a medley of songs from the show performed by The Boosh Band. Again, nothing new here but a good, rousing ending to the show nonetheless.

All in all, a good but slighty disappointing show. I think that the Boosh boys are resting on their laurels somewhat and relying on their popularity to carry them through. That or they are stretching themselves too thin with multiple projects.

Either way, I shall be seeing the live show again with my friend Samantha in January. Samantha likes the show but isn't a huge fan and has only seen half on the first series plus some of the recording of the first live show. It will be interesting to gain her perspective and see if she agrees with my assessment.

Anyway, despite all photo taking and filming being banned, I managed to capture some shots and some clips. Here are some tasters:
