At the end of my last post, I promised fanart in the next. However, I then remembered that I had done another fun thing during my hiatus. ( Weekend at Sherwood Forest )
Oh, that's a cute squirrel !!! Great pic btw, 'cause squirrels move so fast...
That reminds me when they decided to place squirrels in a park that's in the middle of my town, I used to take the bus nearby and the squirrels kept on escaping and trying to cross the street as all the people in the bus stop panicked about them being killed by a car. They gave me a really bad time...
This squirell wasn't so fast. It was very tame! It came into the cabin once but left chasing thrown muffin by Paul who didn't want to end up chasing a squirrel around the apartment, lol!
I went again earlier this year for another not-really-a-hen-do-honest weekend trip which was great, and spent it mostly eating or swimming :-) No cute bunnykins to hand-feed this time, although I did go and do the flaconry which was really good, pygmy owls are soooooo ickle and cute!
Falconry is one of those activities I keep meaning to do but always forget about or cannot afford!
I cannot swim so I never go in the pools. Although I did when Rach and I did the "World of Spa" this time around. I was enjoying the outdoor jacuzzi and then a fire alarm went off! We all had to trapse out in damp costumes and robes and walk barefoot accross grass, pebbles and concrete before huddling outside the entrance before being told we could go back in! Fun! I don't know what it is about me and fire alarms on holiday - I think I've inherited from my parents! ;)
Yes, there were a lot more bunnies and squirrels when Paul and I went the first time. I presumed it was the time of year because we went in spring (May) last time and late Aug this time. Maybe there are just less bunnies these days! Noooo!

That squirrel was cute but not as cute as the one Paul and I met the first time we went (in 2004):
