I am terribly far behind on my work.

Going to the eye doctor is possibly the most annoying process I've ever experienced. They take out my contacts and I then have no idea what is going on in the room. They flip different lenses up and down. They say, "Read this line." I explain that I can't read any of the letters. They ask me to try anyway. I squint at the blurs and try to make shapes. I take a guess. It's obviously the wrong letter, because they go, "Oookay" before I can get to any of the other letters.

After several minutes of this process, they determine that my eyes have indeed gotten worse. They give me a new pair of contacts and instruct me to cover my left eye with my left hand and read the letters. I ponder whether or not it would affect the process at all if I used my right hand. Then I attempt to read the letters. Thankfully, I can make out the first two. I read them. They celebrate. They assume that if I can read the first two, I must be able to read them all. I can't.

It doesn't seem to matter.

I spent the evening watching my sister's cheerleading competition. They came in first in the district. It was actually rather impressive.
