Slow Week

Well, I've been having a better couple weeks than I did the last entry. Still, it felt good to blow off some steam like that. And I've made decent progress on applying to jobs since then. I got some positive responses from a couple, but it's too early to say if it'll develop into anything. Unfortunately, I just don't have anything to write about for the this week. And I've also taken steps into looking at getting a local part time job. I'd rather not because it will make it harder to leave for a job that will be career positive, but sitting around all day doing nothing is not good for me. Plus, the interest on my student loans isn't going down on it's own.

Life has been kind of the same for a while now. But I got some good things to come up over the next week. On Tuesday, I was thinking of going to in Iowa City to see Anamanaguchi. It'd be a two hour drive from here, but that doesn't seem so bad since I used to do that when I was in Eau Claire. Plus, I'd been using a carrot and stick approach to this, saying that I had to have so many applications taken care of before I could go. And I should be able to complete that goal, so. And the biggest thing I didn't like about last year was how hard it was to get out to see anything. And then next weekend, I'll be going to see They Might Be Giants in Minneapolis. Looking forward to that because I haven't been to First Avenue in over 5 years, maybe more. I want to say the last show I saw there was They Might be Giants, but I'm not sure. Then afterwards, I'll probably bum around and see some friends up north. So I guess the next entry is going to be a travelogue again.

ho-hum, year five, the not too distant future
