So, yeah, I had a fun day at work today. I was scheduled from 8:30-5:30. But then, around 4:00ish, pretty much all the cashiers who were supposed to be closing tonight called off. There was basically one guy who was going to be closing.
Well, I'd already worked 40 hours for the week. But I have no life, and I have the day off tomorrow. So I figured that I could stay a little while and get some nice overtime pay. So I volunteered to stay as late as they needed me, or were willing to pay me. I got to stay until 8:00, when we were basically dead. Also, one of the cashiers did come in (late) and another one volunteered to stay a little extra, so they closed with three people. And I got a nice 2.5 hours of overtime pay. Yay for 11.5 hour days!
And I raised $181 for HFH. I realize that, more than likely, no one cares, but I'm probably gonna keep doing it. It's a way for me to record how much I have, as well as giving me incentive to actually write out a decent LJ post for the day, so I put more in than just the total. So for anyone who actually likes reading what I write, it's a good thing, I guess.
Sleeping in tomorrow is gonna be SO nice.....
