I'm realising the Philosophical implications of LOST!
Maybe it's - at least in part - due to me revising for my philosophy exam but Season 5 is a lot like Plato's cave.
Or maybe Jack's just crazy.
Well, it doesn't matter b/c -SPOILER- they're all actually dead. Cool beans.
Seriously, though. Jacks like the philosopher who has seen the truth but when he tells people they [Kate] don't [doesn't] believe him.
Of course the similarities may end soon enough because Locke's just about to go and find Jacob so.... kk
Plus they utilise the everlight torches - as seen in Raiders of the Lost Ark and any other movie involving a dar, hidden temple or anything of the sort.
