PJ Harvey-Apple Valley

I went to the PJ Harvey gig at the Minnesota Zoo last night, and it was freaking fantastic! Such a small venue with a quiet pond and a stone bluff as a backdrop for the stage. I was only 4 rows up from the stage on the right ( Read more... )

Yeah, they played it during the encore in Boston too, and it was one of my favorite songs of the whole set. At the time I thought it was the title track from one of Parish's solo albums (and that it was "Forest Fires"), but apparently I am wrong on all of these accounts. It's one of the b-sides from the "Black Hearted Love" single.

I read she danced with the crowd during that show. Did you witness that?

Yes, she danced with the crowd, and I was so jealous! These skinny punk-y teens were standing off to the side, by the front, and during the instrumental "The Crow Knows Where All the Little Children Go", PJ hopped off stage and danced with them, while John and the rest of the band played on. If there hadn't been a gate blocking me, I would've danced too!
