Grr LJ

Even though I doubt my journals are in danger of being deleted (the new definition of inactive is that the journal only has one post in addition to being inactive for 2 years, and all of mine have more than one post), I wanted to go on and post something to the ones I most wanted to keep safe.

I did it with one, then went to log into another and realized it's been so long, I forgot the password. I tried a few of my usual ones from back then, but none worked, so I did the password reset thing. It emailed me a link to reset it, I followed the link, put in a new password, and got this:

* Your IP address is temporarily banned for exceeding the login failure rate.

Well DUH. If I hadn't failed to log in, I wouldn't have requested the reset. I understand doing that to keep hackers out, but if I was able to get the email, then obviously I'm me, right? So why not let me change my damn password now??? It would be nice if it would at least tell me how long this ban lasts. I guess I'll just wait until I get home, but man, how annoying.
