live performance

I' ve gone to the live theater last weekend to attend to a musical performance called "Hoy no me puedo levantar" (http://www.hoynomepuedolevantar.com). The play is about how four guys try to be succeed in the music world and how they are influenced by the Madrid City eighties new life style. The musical has been made by one of the Mecano former members and uses songs of a this famous spanish music group. Mecano attained the hit parade many times in the eighties and nineties.

Eighties were a "full of changes" years in Spain. When the decade started i was only nine years, so I didnt understand many things, but my city and my country was a young democracy and young people  were starting to change the old catholic and dictatorship rules. This period was called "la movida madrileña" and I didnt live it strongly being sincere .

I suppose it was cauz i attended to a catholic and religious school and most of things was banned. Nothing about drugs, alcohol, sex and so on,  by the way my school was only for boys and besides we havent any news about what happened outside the "normal" society.

Anyway, I'm so glad to learn about that time and pretty nostalgic about not to live that time more intensely.
