Very exciting!
I hope the job stuff works out well and you find one that suits you where you get on well with the team.
Moving house is hard, but you can pay men to make it easier, the legal stuff the lawyers do, and house shopping is fun :-) I wouldn't let that worry you too much.

It'd be nice to see you both before you move though!

Good luck with the job stuff.

Moving> what I have found works:
- Declutter as much and as soon as possible
- Pay someone to pack the boxes. This is far more stressful than you think and in terms of total moving cost is not that expensive.

That is such an appropriate icon for how I feel about this.

I'll almost certainly get professional movers for the furniture and the 400 mile drive, but I feel that I'd want to pack fragile things, personal items, books and computers myself, which is most of the contents of the house.

Declutter is definitely looming..

The advantage of them packing fragile things is they're then insured against breakage - which they may not be If you pack them yourself... And the advantage of them packing books is that they know just how heavy they can lift ;) but I do know what you mean.
