In the spirit of procrastination I figured I'd update y'all on my life :-P

Add Chicago to my list of cities I could definitely tolerate living in :) I spent Memorial Day Weekend there hanging out with Tim, who I met at the offsite meeting in Orlando in April. He lives in Lincoln Park, which is a really nice neighborhood, definitely my kind of place. We had a blast, pictures here :)

So since I mentioned it, here's the current list of cities I wouldn't mind living in, in no particular order:
  • New York City
  • Hilo, HI (or anywhere on the Big Island)
  • Portland, OR (or ME, I suppose)
  • Seattle, WA
  • San Francisco, CA
  • Chicago, IL
I feel like I should add a city in Denmark here, but I suppose I should really reserve that until such a time as I actually visit one in person ;)

Bonnaroo is in less than a week!! It doesn't seem possible! Of course, this means Kasper arrives in even less time than that, like 4 days in fact. SQUEEE!!!!! :-D I really need to get this place cleaned up soon... Last night I had a dream that we got all the way to Tennessee and I had forgotten the tickets. I was so relieved to wake up and find out that it was a dream. I think I'm going to pack them today :-P Unfortunately, Bill has to take a last minute business trip to London so he won't be able to join us :( Today I need to work out our schedule. Most of the bands I want to see are all going to be playing at the same time, which really sucks. Thanks to fuzz3 for the Avett Brothers recommendation, I think that should fit in fine :) Here's hoping Dixie holds up. I seem to have broken in the new rack assembly, no more steering weirdness when parallel parking and the steering wheel vibrations when going > 70MPH aren't nearly as bad as they were when I first drove it home. At least I won't have to drive by myself this year :)

OK, well, not so old, but friend who used to be friend and is now friend again. Had a nice evening with souterrain last week. We had dinner and drinks last Thursday night at Roebling Tea Room, which was as always comfy and laid back -- even better now that they've got their liquor license. We chatted a lot and got caught up, listened to the ever eclectic mix of music there and contemplated the newly installed fake deer heads on the walls. It was really nice to be able to hang out again :)

Hrmm, what else, what else?

Went to the Crocodile Lounge last night with the MS (and others) crew. Free Pizza AND trivia???? Does it get any better??? Liquid Cocaine shots?? OK! We dubbed ourselves the Freaky Geeks and ended up finishing second, which knocked $20 off the round of Liquid Cocaine shots :-P After that we headed to Otto's Shrunken Head for some more drinks and merriment, and of course pictures! I got to drink something fruity out of a skull mug which had a paper umbrella and a plastic monkey hanging out of it. I'm so easily amused :)

OK, I think that's it for now. I'm getting hungry, time to think about getting some lunch :)
