I've been listening to the Shangri-Las and i was thinking about how different they're from most 50/60's girl groups. I read about how melodramatic they were even before i listened to them. And i knew that Amy Winehouse was a big fan so here. Enough said. :P Actually, i knew one of their songs "Leader of the Pack" but for some reason, i never noticed the end of the song. Anyway, there's one song, "I Can Never Go Home Anymore". It's about this young girl who falls in love with a boy, and stays with him even tho her mum doesn't agree. So the girl simply runs away. Of course, she doesn't see the boy for long but what with her pride etc, she still doesn't go home. In the end, her mum is so sad and lonely that she dies. That's when the girl realizes that she can't go home anymore... Strange kind of song.
