Decision
I think i should try to post sth here every day, even if that's nothing important. Or at least every other day. Today, i'll just post what i wrote about the Joan Baez gig.... Woo.
I saw Joan Baez yesterday. :D
First thing first.. When i saw she playing in Lyon, i asked my dad if he wanted to go cos i know he likes her, and you know he likes music etc. So he said yes, and my mum wanted to go to. We walked around in town a bit, had cappus but we still go there early. It's funny because i was one of the youngest in the audience, haha. Well, there were young people but mostly people over 40. Jose Gonzalez opened for her. He played on its own, with just his guitar. But maybe it's like that all the time, i dunno if he's got a band or what. It was cool anyhoo. I guess he's kinda shy cos he barely watched the people in front of him. Haha. He's kinda cute. Hehe..
Then it was time for Joan Baez... She's 66 now but she still looks perfect, really. It's kinda strange tho, because there's nobody on stage and suddenly, Joan Baez is a few meters away from you. :O Her voice hasn't changed either. My mum was impressed - she's singing a bit too, ya know. Anyway, she's really funny! Haha. And her French is very good so she was able to talk to everybody and to make jokes as well. I loved when she said that the only good thing about crappy politics spreading everywhere now was that she could sing the songs she used to sing 40-50 years ago. Haha. She did play for 90mins but it went by real fast. :/
She did Diamonds & Rust. :'(
And Ivar, she sang 2 Renaud songs: the one he wrote for Ingrid Betancourt and the one he recorded with Axelle Red. She had to read the words but really, her French is real good.
