This season of Heroes has been great.
Sometimes a second season of a show can be a make or break season. Lost for example, its second season took less of a sci-fi edge because ABC didn't want to "Buffy-size" it.
But Heroes has been able to keep up the intensity while introducing new characters and storylines. And almost flawlessly too. There are some hiccups here and there, but for the most part it's been a very entertaining season.
And despite
Claire's desperate attempts to keep busy during the writers strike (which is the reason why this season looks like could end in two weeks, which is a shame, but hopefully it will end soon, because of selfish, selfish reasons....and I don't want to watch
American Gladiators and
Deal or No Deal on NBC come spring time), I have to say I'm happy to see that they aren't half-assing this half-season of Heroes.
Tonight's episode for example....
By shooting Noah, Heroes continues to take chances that no other primetime show will or has taken, since the first season of 24 or Lost. Last the writing has yet to become stale (unlike the acting of Ali Larter). What will happen? I don't want to hazard a guess, but I do know I was wrong.
I really wanted Bob and Noah to be brothers....and maybe they still will be, I think it would've been a kickass dynamic.
Do i think Noah is dead? Nope. Remember Bob has a quart worth of Claire's blood....and Heroes is willing to take chances, but I'm not sure in a half-season they are willing to make that much of a chance.
But it was still some great TV.
By the way....BSG Mini-series
"Razor" premieres Saturday...so at least I'll be amused before Lost hits ABC, and I won't be completely without entertaining tv in the spring.
