Sox Win! Sox Win!
I'm not going to be too much of a fanboy with this.
But I'd be a terrible Red Sox fan if I didn't mention here in LJ, I mean what is a blog for if it's not ranting about life, love and the Red Sox.
So yes the Sox won, and the Yankees lost which makes the Red Sox the BEST time in the AL East, a title they haven't held since 1995, so yeah I'm a little stoked for my team.
Some interesting notes though...
Sox fans stuck around for an hour to watch the Yanks at Baltimore game on the jumbo-screen and when Melvin Mora beat them with a bunt down the third base side the fans went wild, as if the sox had just won the series.
During the celebration by the sox of the title they kind of went a lil crazy with budlgiht and champagne...
Here Jonothan Papelbon and Dice K celebrate as Pap saved the game for Dice-K's 15th win.
Pap was one of the most interesting characters....before they went outside to the field to the sox fans waiting, there were some shots were the twenty-something papelbon was not only drunk but wearing only a jock-strap.
He was defly the most entertaining player to watch...and raises the old adage...
You can take the frat-boy power pitcher out of the south....
But you can't take the latent frat-boy homoerotic behavior out of the frat-boy.
Just kidding Pap...I love ya...in a totally hetereosexually sports fan way.
