Heroes
FIrst quarter hour thoughts:
A little dissapointed that the first sentence you hear is that of Mohinder telling us that the Heroes with this genetic disposition contract a virus and will die, because that is straight out of the pages of X-Men and the Legacy virus. Although I like how he focued on what that means for evolution and not that the species would die.
Matt Parkman adopted Molly and became NYPD. Nice plot movement. Even better when you see that Molly are seeing the eyes that can see her.
Claire doing her thing....it could be interesting as she seperates herself from the "sheep."
Hiro meets his hero...more on this later.
It turns out I was wrong about Nathan. I thought for sure he wouldn't show up until December.
Second Quarter:
Mr. Bennet works for a real paper company...ironically funny...but overdone.
Claire battles with herself to be hero and to be normal.
Hiro's father and mama petrelli were possibly played.
Mr. Bennet shows that he is no one to mess with, especially if you are a senior asst. manager.
Hiro's hero...is nothing more than a legend.
Last Quarter hour
Bennet family is still together...but I can't remember if Noah had his family's memory erased. From the awkwardness you would think not.
Ok...I was actually paying attentnion to that...so let me get to the point...because I wasn't taking good mental notes...paying attention will do that.
I was wrong. On a lot of levels. Peter is alive and well but with no memory.
But what this showed was Heroes is still strong. Introducing new characters and moving along new storylines.
Very well done....very well done indeed.
What I think I'm going to like the most is that the idea of "what is a hero" will continue to be challenged. While it was touched upon toward the end of last season, I feel that a season which takes that subject on will not be your typical superhero show, because they are fighting this great evil they are continuing to fight each other.
Almost to say that they survived New York four months ago, but they didn't end happily ever after. It might actually be tougher than it was before.
