Irrational fear #125

Jul 18, 2007 01:18

I leave my car windows open during the day. Having no A/C in the mini-van means that I need to keep it as cool as possible whenever possible.

So I'm working out of the office tonight around 12:30 a.m. and as I approach my car I see my to way back windows opened, to let the air flow through.

Suddenly, all I can think of is that bats can get into holes the size of an apple and that my window is open at least as wide as an apple.

So I cautiously open my door so the light goes on and peer into my car through it's faux tinted glass. I slam my car door to see if anything moves. After a waiting a few seconds and not seeing anything flap around I sit in the drivers seat and slowly close the door waiting a few seconds to see if anything happens.

Then I start my car, once again waiting a few seoncds to make sure I'm not going to get bitch-slapped by a leathery talon wing.

I then safely drive home.

It's not called irrational for nothing.
