So I just woke up and I had a pretty bizzarre dream.
Here's how it breaks down, I was Wolverine. But not actually Wolverine, a video game version of Wolverine. And I was cognizant that it was a video game mission, because we made a reference that our mission had failed before.
And I was in charge of this special forces unit, and we were sent back in time to stop a terrorist coup d'etat. Our mission was to protect a room full of something techie. I'm not really sure what it was.
You know how all dreams have a part, where the detail is focused on other things, so that a key part of the dream (like something you're protecting) is fuzzy. I know it was technology based. And if it was disrupted in any way, the world would end.
So here I am Wolverine, with a large machine gun, mowing down enemy commandos. And at some point, the mission objective changes (a la video game style) and we all regroup in the control room that guards the techie thing.
The enemy comes, we run out of ammo, so of course I pop out the claws and go to town.
Some guys get pass me and get into the techie room so I follow them, and suddenly I'm not Wolverine, I'm me. And I know one of the terrorists. Except it's no one I know from real life, in fact the kid is pretty generic, but I remember thinking in my dream that bears a striking resemblance to
Corin Nemec of
"Parker Lewis Can't Lose." So I'm trying to talk Paker Lewis down from not destroying the techie thing. And at one point I succeed.
Then through a secret passageway, three guys in black vests show up. And I squint to make them out and they are
Tri-Lambdas from
"Revenge of the Nerds." And suddenly one of the commandos takes off their headgear, and it's a soriotory girl. No one specific, just a in general soriotory girl, and we were both talking to the Tri-Lambs about what a bad ass sword they brought. And I reach out to touch it and I feel this sharp, sharp pain in my finger as if they had cut it. And as I'm on my knees holding my finger like it had been cut, I look down and there's no cut.
I then look back up and the Tri-Lambs are destroying the techie control console....and then I woke up.
I really want to know what in my life is so existential that my brain felt the need to combine a Heroe's scenerio of saving the world, with Revenge of the Nerds, Wolverine, and first person shooters, to try and figure it out.
