On Heroes

So with just one more episode left, things have been set in motion, just like we were told they were going to be set in motion.

And despite all the "Heroes" attempts at saving NY from the bio-nuclear blast that is impending, all the things that future Hiro told us (and that we learned using our keen dork-like abilities to deduce clues) have not been saved at all.

Notes:

The Linderman Act, referred to registering of meta-humans so that they would not do things that were considered evil...like kill Linderman. So I guess we know where the name of that bill came from.

Also, I know that Malcolm McDowell was suppose to be this uber-creepy guy with power and money, but I"ll be honest, when I see old Malcolm McDowell, I think ABC's "Fantasy Island." If he could revert into "A Clockwork Orange" Malcolm McDowell than I wouldn't argue.

Of course it's a moot point because, well, remember when Kitty Pryde threatened Sabertooth in "Annual Uncanny X-Men 1" in 1998 but plunging her forearm into his brain? Yeah...that happened.

Me thinkin' Ando is the one in Isaac's comic not Hiro.

I like how unapologeticly violent it is for a prime-time televsion shows. Between Mr. Bennet nailing Eric Roberts twice in the head with a gun. Which was not only bad-ass but very surprising.

I'm a little surprised that Matt didn't recongize the lil girl or her thoughts when they went into the room. I mean he seems to be pretty empathetic, and although he can concentrate on specific people, he still sometimes pick up really, really strong thoughts...and a lil girl cowering in fear, would seem to me like the type of thing he would pick up on.

I'm not sure if I buy George Takei's sudden interest in helping his son, because as we saw with Mrs. Petrelli, who said she was for saving the world, is actually with Linderman. BUT, it was nice to see that he at least allowed Hiro to think he was trying to save him.

And as a comic fan, my admiration for the show continues to grow. Keeping the mythos of a comic series alive each week, is not an easy thing, but the writers and producers have each week, successfully met that challenge.

Although, that being said, I'm a lil annoyed with NBC's decsion to make "Heroes" into "American Sylar." As much as I love "Heroes" I'm not sure I can bring myself to vote for what charaters I want to see. I mean, it's a cool idea. But this is merging the predictability of people voting for their favorite character, BUT those same characters may not have the depth that other characters might have.
